Re: TX:Houston we have a problem, our ATM's are being stolen

So I hadn't fully read the story  Richards said all of the machines were owned by different companies and none was equipped with GPS tracking devices. Bet they regret cheaping out on that option now... Could be the total amount of money in them isn't all that much. Not bolted down and no tran...

Re: Hornady Critical Defense 9mm Ammo

I love Paul Harrel's videos. They are definitely worth the time. It was my understanding that his testing shows the "hyper" ammo was marginally better, but not by a huge amount (and I agree with that). Certainly the difference is not enough to justify the huge price difference you often se...

Re: Hornady Critical Defense 9mm Ammo

I can't remember which Hornady ammo it was but watch the velocity of the rounds you are buying. Some Hornady self defense ammo is rated at a little slower velocity compared to other brands or even other Hornady ammo. Usually you can see that shown on the boxes at the store. I first noticed it a whil...

Re: AZ: Police release graphic video of officer involved shooting of Texas man

"If you talk to any combat veteran..." Maybe combat veterans should be vetted extremely well before being hired by police force, sheriff's department, mall security... TAM recommended the book "Rise of the Warrior Cop" a few months back. I took that advice and in the book found ...

Re: .300 BLK - supers and subs through a Form 1 can

I was near a guy shooting a 308 bolt gun suppressed a couple weeks ago. I was wearing ear protection but I was surprised how quiet the shots were suppressed even with regular 308 ammo. He was shooting at 200 yards. The report at the gun was much less, but you still heard the supersonic crack headed ...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-V5lxZUKhK8 Here is a youtube of a news report with some footage from before it happened. Apparently they were joking around. Not sure if that means much or if it was just a reaction to stress. Here is video of the confrontation and shooting. https://www.youtube.com/w...

Re: Shooting at Twin Peaks in Waco

Perhaps someone knows this answer: Does the prosecution have to turn over ALL evidence to the defense? How much can the prosecution decide to withhold? What are the typical consequences if evidence is withheld?

Hothead drivers do exist. I guess they are rare enough that you don't normally see two of them face off.

Re: PA: Philly wants "Freedom to rob". Bill to ban bulletproof glass passes committee

Most banks will hand over the money whether they are behind a barrier or not. I think the article said most of the issue is at restaurant/bars. Apparently there are venues getting around their rules by calling themselves a restaurant, serving little or no food but selling beer and shots to people ou...

Re: Suppressors and Threads

I hope to have that problem in another 6 to 8 months.

I would say it depends on the cost. Spacers are not necessarily cheap. I think it would depend on adapter options from the OEM.

Re: San Antonio: LTC shoots robber outside restaurant

If the article is accurate, the LTC held his cool pretty well. He didn't draw at first, just refused to give the BG any money. He only drew when the BG pointed a gun at his children as they were hurrying out the door. Kudo's to this man for protecting his family. I am not sure I would have waited t...

Re: Fed to seize guns from people who failed background checks

Note that the ATF is quoted as saying they didn't pursue one buyer whose background check subsequently failed because they "lacked resources." Hog. Wash. They simply decided other things were more important. Yeah, I agree, I'm sure they had other priorities. Things like "Fast and Fur...

Re: Fed to seize guns from people who failed background checks

I tend to agree with the Annoyed Man above. Unless they can prove the owner knew they were prohibited, I don't see where they have the authority to execute seizure warrants.
