Re: out of state & out of country
PA is actually an open carry state....except Philly. Problem with the tourist stuff in Philly is some are federal buildings. Just across the bridge is new jersey...a wrong turn and you are in big trouble. Also if your flight is diverted and you wind up in new York or jersey, do not take possession o...

Re: CHL Arrest record/history
The DPS crystal ball used for background checks can see even "expunged" records if they want to.
MIP PI etc will show up when applying for a LEO job and even a medical license.
YMMV

Re: Cities improperly posting 30.06 signs?
What gets me is the Copy of the executive order banning firearms from city buildigs specifically mentions CHL holders as exceptions and yet they still post the 30.06 sign :banghead: I could understand if they posted a Unlicensed Possesion of a Hangun sign... Just not the 30.06 sign. They responded i...

Re: Cities improperly posting 30.06 signs?
I recently contacted the City of Houston 311 information division for an explanation and to complain about the 30.06 sign posted at the City of Houston Permit Offices on Washington Avenue. They have a properly worded 30.06 sign but it is on a city building with no courts etc that I or the 30.06 site...

Re: 3 Observations
Anyone who objects for me being armed, I would respond: 1) You think I do not not need my self-defense means, I guess you do not need any kind of insurance, starting with healthcare, car, home insurance too. That hurts your pocket. 2) You think I am a wacko or gun nuts, next time and when you are u...

Re: 51% Question
Friday I went into a former BBQ restaurant that had reopened at Yale and Washington in Houston. J. Black's I think is the name. I was waiting for the other party inside when I noticed near the door on the same wall about 84 inches off the ground a 51% sign. It wasn't lit very well and if I hadn't b...

Most of your actions I give a big thumbs up. :thumbs2: Everyone else has played the "Dial 911" card, so I'll shift gears. In my opinion, it is not a wise choice to stop the car, period. There is too much risk that someone can pile out of the vehicle, approach the car, and then break the w...

Re: Carry in Church
One thing about some Churches is they have schools . Not talking Sunday school but real state approved school programs. Trinty Lutheran and Salem Lutheran are two. They have schools and separate sanctuaries but ajoined by hallways etc. I'll bet there are plenty of Church/School combos out there........

We are never more exposed than when we turn our back to the world to put something in, or take something out of, our vehicles; and, this usually happens where? :iagree: And it gets worse this time of year. Head on a swivel. Pumping gas is a good time to get hit as well. Head down, wallet out, keys ...

Have a set of decent kitchen knives--not top-end, but close--the instructions for which said never to wash them in a dishwasher, because doing so can cause pitting of the metal. To my understanding, that primarily has to do with dishwasher detergent. ... :iagree: Some of today's Dishswashing Deterg...
