Re: ..really slow CHL renewal

A heavy workload was officially the reason for the delay. I would like to know how much the applications for CHL's jumped after the election.

..really slow CHL renewal

I sent my renewal to Austin sometime in October '08. Finally got the dern thing on June 5th of 2009. Holdup seemed to be that one of the pages of my renewal request had errors on it. (I put check marks, rather than initialing). That was the second holdup. First was for a bad picture. Seems that my g...

Re: Looters should be shot. Survivors should be shot again.
and buried with a backhoe in an unmarked grave[/quote I'm not really sure that a looter deserves a burial, even in an unmarked grave. I tend to think along the lines of the body sloshing around in a back bayoo, till the large gators get hungry again. I live between Dallas...

Pop-unders

Pop-ups are no longer a problem. Pop-unders are the problem

I am on a POPline ISP and it is dead slow. Add in the extra with the pop-unders and I can wait forever.

My best bet is probably to not bother with NewsMax.

How does one get rid of pop-unders.

NewsMax is one of my morning misinformation sources. It also delivers four or five darn popunders. It is no real problem, but it is annoying.

I recently started using Mozilla for browser and email. Cured most of my problems with popups and glitzs from Outlook and IE.

Quote: "I don't remember, but was something about no guns allowed and was signed by TLCB." TABC issues TWO standardized signs. The law says the "51%"er must have the numbers in 5" tall red type. The other sign starts out with "The UNLICENSED (emphasis mine) carry ... &...
What does the sign actually say?[/quote)

I don't remember, but was something about no guns allowed and was signed by TLCB. I was on my way out when I saw it and just grinned. I was wearing a .45 under a golf shirt that didn't really cover it.

Another resturant that don't want my business

'Chilii's' resturant in Greenville has an illegal sign on the door glass. It is out of the way, and hard to see. Small print says it is from the Texas Licquor Control board. It is not a '51%', sign nor is there a '51%' sign anywhere else. 'Chili's' was my favorite quicky resturant. They make an 'old...

I carry a Colt officers model .45 most of the time. When I can't hide it, I carry a Colt Government .380. The .380 is a bit light, but it is better than the nothing I would be carrying otherwise.

I know very little about the electronic prints, but if there is no ink, I am all for it. I have one finger that is bent at a weird angle and guarantied, that finger will smear. If the print taker would let me do that finger, no problems. I can roll it correctly, but when someone else does it, they t...

Guess that I am just lucky. :D My wife and I started shooting together in 1948. She was a complete newby, never having even held a firearm of any kind. She started out with a .22 rifle and gradually worked up to a 30-06. I was still in the USMC, and shooting to me was a way of life. Wife decided tha...
