Re: Budget AR $320/$375 with sights and flashcan

I am no means a seasoned assembler of ARs having only put four together but the Ceratac went together without any problems. Everything fit as it should. The upper and lower fit with no rattle. The American Pride lower has a set screw the you can tighten against the upper if it's loose but I had no n...

Just 30 rounds. Just a trial run to see if I got everything in the right place.

The trigger is typical mil-spec gritty. I'll probably pull it back out and hit it with a little polishing compound.

Re: Budget AR $320/$375 with sights and flashcan

I got my budget AR put together and ran a magazine through it to see if it worked. No problems. Been a little too busy to get it on the bench to sight it in. I did dial it in a little offhand but it seems to shoot good enough for what it is intended to do. I added Trinty Force sights and a KAK flash...

Re: Called out in church on my CC

I guess I'm in Charles' boat. While I carry concealed at church to avoid being a distraction many know I carry and that I'm an instructor. I've helped or later taught approx. 150 of our members to become LTCs. I advised the Eldership on open-carry and wrote our policy. I've been discovered on severa...

If I recall there was a church in the metroplex that got in trouble. I don't remember any of the details as it has been some time ago.

Re: AR 15 under 400$?

BUIS = BackUp Iron Sights Putting an AR together is pretty easy. The lower requires a couple of punches, needle nose pliers, some masking tape, a small hammer, and little ingenuity. Some specialized tools make the job a little easier but they are not absolutely necessary. Watch several youtube video...

Re: AR 15 under 400$?

I'm not sure about an ar fully built for under 400, but i built mine from a kit from ceratac.com about a month ago. Came with everything but a lower receiver, which I've had for quite awhile. I'm in the middle of building one from Ceratac. 16" 1:8 kit for $290.00 (assuming they are still on sa...

Wow! Great story. My thanks to all the folks that helped out, from the first responders, to the "dudes in a bass boat", to the neighbor, to the people bringing in supplies. They all made a difference.

Prayer for Florida.

Re: Local recon needed -Houston

We made it down and back. Did not see any wide-spread gas shortages, just a station or two. One being the Alsups in Post, Garza Co. They were out of diesel . We didn't get far off the beaten path but if I didn't know better I wouldn't have been able to tell a hurricane went through a week ago. I kno...

Re: Local recon needed -Houston

We just made it in to Conroe where we are staying the night. Other than a very long trip, almost 14 hours, we made it without incident. It appears hat there is gas at all the stations we passed. We brought our own so we filled up from our reserves. I-45 is just as terrible as I remember it. The turn...
