Re: Really Ticked Off

I'm at a loss on this one. How is an assault on one's spouse not domestic violence? Isn't that the very definition of domestic violence or at least one of the definitions?

Re: DFW West/Southwest Quadrant Breakfast

Are we meeting this Saturday 10/14 or next Saturday 10/21? I’ve lost track.... Next weekend on the 21st. I think I'll make it next week. My daughter has softball games, but not until the afternoon. I may even be able to convince her to come with me to breakfast, although it is pretty early for her....

Re: Las Vegas Mandalay Bay Active Shooter

The hospital I work in is part of a nationwide system. One of the hospitals that received many of the victims is also in this system. The following details are from an internal e-mail about the types of victims this hospital treated. They treated approximately 200 people, of which 120 were gun shot ...

Re: Feinstein : 'I Don't Know' of a Gun Law That Could Have Stopped Las Vegas Shooting

Listening to that I heard her say something that I'm curious about. She says that the SCOTUS has determined that possession of machine guns are not covered by the 2A. I don't think that is true. I think what was done was that the SCOTUS said that they could be regulated or something like that, but d...

Re: DC: Fed Court of Appeals rules public carry of firearms a "core" right

It will be very cool to legally carry a concealed handgun on the DC metro from Virginia to the District and walk around the District. Carry by licensees on any public transportation in DC is prohibited, according to handgunlaw.us http://www.handgunlaw.us/states/dc.pdf That is incorrect, if you have...

Re: Carry style

I have an IWB holster for a gun I sold several years ago. I have not bothered to get one for any of the guns I have now, so I only carry OWB when I am able.

Re: State Fair - Again

Do not tell the "wanders" anything other than that you need to see the officer or just walk over to the officer. The "wanders" don't need to know anything. I haven't been to the fair in a couple of years, but this is what I did. I've taken the initiative and not given them the ch...

Re: This Happened to Me

It's funny that your story involves a dog. Mine involves a Rottie I used to have about 20 years ago. Weather permitting, I used to take him with me as much as I could and if I had to make a stop somewhere would leave him in the truck with the windows down. He was obedience and protection trained wel...

What? A professor wants more guns on campus? What's going on up there?

Re: Scary shotgun owner

Yes it's scary...First of all I was tending to another customer nearby. The lady that was checking him out probably doesn't know any better either since she is basically anti-gun. Second of all when he "checks" his gun all he is going to find is it says 2 1/2 or 3 stamped on the barrel. I...

Re: Scary shotgun owner

I remember way back only a couple of years ago on this very forum me asking a not too dissimilar question about slugs. I had only shot #7.5 and #8 birdshot for trap, skeet, and 5-stand and was about to shoot my first 3-gun match. One of the stages required two slugs. When I went to the store to get ...

Re: Gun safe thoughts/advice

For those who have purchased safes, why did you purchase when you did? Because my wife got tired of seeing the 3-5 or so long guns that we had at the time stacked in the corning of the closet. I also think she had a vision of the next few years and where I was heading with this lifestyle. IIRC, we ...
