Re: Essential long gun collection

A collection?

Something in 30-06 like a Garand or 1903 Springfield. A lever gun or three in various calibers. Maybe even some kind of black powder rifle.

Or are they making your bump stop illegal just like your rifle?

Nah, they just want to make sure people can't use their bullet buttons to attach them to their Glocks and turn those into fully automatic death machines. :evil2:

Re: Ever Used Glow-On Paint To Brighten Iron Sights?

My daughter has some bright orange nail polish. I put a dab of that on the front sight of something a year or so ago. It's not glow in the dark or anything, but it does help with sight acquisition when there's enough light.

Re: Should I just go with Bravo?

I don't know anything about the Bravo, but I like my ALS 7T holster so much that I stopped carrying my G30SF and carry the 21SF with a TLR-1 light attached 99% of the time I carry at all. The other 1% is a 1911 in a shoulder rig.

Re: RV, camper van, site trailer, and work truck carry considerations

Nothing wrong with your choice of firearm. Nothing wrong with having a laser on it either. A light would be helpful. I like a light. I have one mounted on my nightstand gun that is also my EDC. The light stays mounted to it all the time. However, IHMO, if you're in real close quarters like a van or ...

If I weren't working I would still come out there. It'd be a nice ride before it gets rainy again on Sunday. But, alas, gotta earn a buck.

Re: Venezuela: It only took 20 years of radical socialism

What are the chance they re-elect the current dictator? A better question might be, what are the odds of the current dictator winning 100% of the vote?

I can't make this one this week. Due to my schedule it looks like I won't be able to make another one until April.

Re: Drones Good or Bad

Drones can be used for bad things. Drones can be used for good things. Sounds a lot like another tool that is frequently discussed on this forum. Exactly what I was thinking. These drones aren't exactly AI. They are programmed and doing what they are told or at least operating within the parameters...

Re: So many unanswered questions.....

Still some unanswered questions. At least for me. From the article, Police issued an arrest warrant for Meza for unlawful carrying a weapon and endangering a child. 1. Meza wasn't carrying the gun when it was dropped. I guess he confessed to having it and giving it to Rivera to carry? 2. Was Rivera ...

Why 5 times? This is why!

http://www.star-telegram.com/news/local/community/fort-worth/article194339574.html A Fort Worth man was shot to death after he tried to stop a robbery at a Save A Lot grocery store late Thursday, police said. The mother of a robber recently killed asked why her son was shot 5 times or however many t...

Re: Gun Buster Signs

Debate this all you want, the 30.06 & 30.07 signs or written on a card in the exact language given or oral notification to that person stating that that firearms or not allowed are the only notifications I teach and am concerned with. That is what the law says and that is what I was told when I...

Re: Can you carry with permission past a 3006

I would still want that permission to be in writing with a signature or someone with the authority to give that permission. :iagree: I work behind 30.06/30.07 signs and carry everyday. BUT, I have written authorization to protect me in case the boss who said it was okay gets hit by a bus. That is g...

Re: KS:Witchta man dies after fake "Swatting" call

What if 'you' hire a person to demolish (burn) down said building that you know is occupied. You do this "for the lolz." The hired man doesn't check the structure to see if it is safe to proceed, and simply demolishes the building. Does the hired hand have any liability, or just the man w...
