Re: STI International Phasing Out Almost all 1911 Models

I bet they miraculously find a box with a hundred or so of each of those discontinued models in about 10 years after the prices have skyrocketed.

Re: DFW West/Southwest Quadrant Breakfast

I was just messing with my daughter by kneeling. Regarding the hair: I realized a few years ago that I was no longer doing the thing that I first cut my hair short for and stopped cutting it. I started getting trims after a year or so to wait for the top/front to catch up with the back in length. I ...

Re: DFW West/Southwest Quadrant Breakfast

Sure is!

H-dub was laughing so hard at me because I was squatting down a little closer to her height. I don't know why I also didn't realize my hair was so long in the back. :coolgleamA:

Re: Cold Steel Frenzy - Tri-Ad Lock Very Difficult

It was a tad difficult finding that sweet spot on my Recon I when I first got it to get it to close easily. However, after a couple of years I can still find it pretty quick now. I've never had it "lock up" on me.

Re: DFW West/Southwest Quadrant Breakfast

I was surprised when we got there late how many were there. Great bunch today.

I did notice that a couple of those that showed up were a little younger than I imagined. Either that or I'm older than I imagine.

Re: GAAA... I'm so confused......

A 1911 was never really a gotta have for me, but I always liked the model. I mostly liked it because of it's prominence in WWII and eventually wanted one because I have Garand, 1903 Springfield, and Enfield all from 1943-44. So far, that dream hasn't come true, but I did get a Colt GC Trophy last y...

Re: Oregon Governor signs bill effectively confiscating guns

Not saying I think it is a good thing, however, at least it takes a court order to do it. Now, what all is involved in getting the court order? Is it just a judge hearing one side of the story and then making the determination? :iagree: This is pretty much where I am also falling on this issue and ...

Re: In your home with workmen present

I'm carrying in my home about 80% of the time. I'm always carrying when workers are present. I'd say that of that 80%, about 90% of that is open carry. The other 10% is when there are guests or workers present. I don't think I've openly carried with either of those two groups present yet. Some of th...

Re: Getting my CHL back after DWI Suspension

OP has one and only one post. Is it just me or does there seem to be more one posters with questions like this lately? Hard to be MORE than a "one poster" when you're new to a forum...and at the time have only ONE question for a group of folks that you ASSUME to be like-minded. Where else...

Re: police/deputies/sherrifs and private communities

I'm not an expert, but think the Sheriff is probably correct about patrolling private property. IDK about the state constitution thing, but think about it. If this were 1000 acres owned by a single person LE wouldn't have any right to just drive in and patrol. Sure, they could come to investigate a ...

Re: Checking in at kids' school

What if the parent picking up their kid is a registered sex offender from 10-15-20 years ago and now has a legitimate reason to be at a school? What do they do with that?
