Re: question at wal mart

I just tell them it's for my carbine, that has a tendency to confuse them, they usually then ask if that is a rifle or a pistol, and I even had one ask me what brand that was. Hey! I resent that (not really), it was only after I googled "carbine" I realized what type of weapon it was. I g...

Re: Carrying inside car - no CHL yet

i have actually tinkered with mounting one of those cheap Academy nylon holsters with a thumb snap under my seat. it works pretty good. quick access , yet secure. depending on the vehicle, you can use the metal belt clip to attach it to the frame of the seat . works fine in my truck, but some cars ...

Re: Carrying inside car - no CHL yet

:iagree: They would have to prove the pic was not taken on his property for them to use it as evidence, in the least, if I understand the law. IANAL either. I have carried like this some when I was traveling, after getting a CHL, and simply threw a hand towel over it. It was concealed and easily re...

Re: Carrying inside car - no CHL yet

IANAL; however, to carry it in your car it must be concealed, and that would definitely not be concealed. I would think you would be in a world of hurt if you got pulled over or reported by someone who saw it. I would definitely recommend re-thinking your approach to this one. Just my $.02. :iagree...

Re: 3 Robbed In Grocery Store Parking Lot

WOW..........a cop actually there when needed! Hard to believe! However even the deputy being there didn't deter or stop the robber from shooting someone. What I've noticed, and didn't realize till recently, cops don't prevent crimes (I don't mean if a BG sees a cop, BG is not going to do anything ...

Re: ammo on sale

I ordered 500 rounds of the Privi 380 from Whitestone. I received the UPS tracking number and the ammo should arrive tomorrow. If there is a problem I will let you know. However, so far communication with Whitestone (William Anger 586-601-4308) has been good. If you have any questions about his com...

Re: Windows 7

I've been dabbling with it, I've been fairly happy with it too, but I refuse to use it as my primary OS until at least 6 months after the full release. I've got a good feeling about windows7, unlike what I had with vista. Boy, that feeling of dread turned out true for the first year or two lol, but...

Re: How many rounds before you carry

Just keep in mind the challenges presented by multiple offender situations and folks who don't know or care they've been shot until a few minutes later. This can happen even if your caliber starts with a 4 and you do your part well. You could easily get well into your backup magazine before things ...

Re: Making my own portable AC power supply

Ok, you guys are mixing up Air Conditioner and Alternating Current. I'm talking about my own portable alternating current system. Not air conditioner. :thumbs2: I just want to run cell phone chargers, laptops, and a small box fan. It's not camping if you have an air conditioner in your tent! I know...

Re: Making my own portable AC power supply

If you do get a generator, don't put it in the tent with ya! Given the amount of sunlight and heat Texas has been getting, that solar panel idea would work! I've been Lake Somersville (probably misspelled) a long time ago, and I believe they had camping sites with electricity available. Which would ...
