Nursing homes

I was visiting a nursing home today and saw a sign that something along the line of no weapons permitted on these grounds. It had no 30.06 or any other kind of number, so I just walked right by it. I just read in the thread on Chl's that nursing homes were off limits. Do they need a proper 30.06 sig...

Re: Do you carry extra ammunition?

I always carry 2 extra mags, I carry a Kimber ultra cdp with a wilson mag, but carry full size wilsons in my mag pouch. Not so much for the extra ammo, but in case of a malfunction, also the full size mags are easier to grab and load than the shorter mags. It's no problem to carry extra mags and if ...

Re: Glad I wasn't there.............

Well, if that is what they are going for they need to pick somewhere else to rob, the first robbery only netted $300.00 dollars according to the paper. When will people realize that banks are the worst place to rob, first it get the FBI on your tail then there is really not much money to be had from...

Glad I wasn't there.............

Citibank on Harvey road in College Station was robbed this morning. I am in the bank 2-3 times a week, but thankfully not today. I drove past the bank on the way back from the barber shop and saw police cars and the yellow tape across the door. The news crews were just arriving. I checked it out onl...

surefire lights

I'm it the market for a good flashlight. I was leaning toward the ex defender, but talked to a shop here and was told the new led lights were brighter and had longer battery life. I would like your ideas on each.

have you seen this

My daughter, who works for Texas A&M sent me this link. She has joined and it looks interesting. Maybe if enough of us start working on this, we can make the schools safer for all involved.

you betcha........problem is that more I handle it, the more I want to carry it!!!! Never been a .45 guy until now. Only problem is I don't want to be deaf if I have to shoot it for defense. Last time I shot a .45 without muffs (to see what the noise level would be like in a defensive scenario....)...
