Re: Home Security Cameras.

I agree about the lack of good security for Cloud on the internet. With my system, it is a risk that the NVR could be stolen. But hoping the alarm system, dogs, and it being hidden keep that from happening before the Police arrive. I also agree about the lack of security for WiFi but can be helped w...

Re: Traffic Violation

I too agree with crazy2medic. In light of the Philando Castile incident and the two others mentioned just in this thread, I think it is unwise to get your ID and insurance before the officer asks for it. Police officers have a legitimate concern for their own safety and seeing someone reaching anywh...

Re: Need Vegas Info

Granted, being armed at the concert would not have prevented it. But I believe both the hotel and venue were both off limits and thus moves this mass shooting into the "Gun Free Zone" category.

I believe I read somewhere today that she is a person of interest.

Re: AntiGun Statistician Finds Gun Control Doesn't Work

Thought I posted this from the article too: I researched the strictly tightened gun laws in Britain and Australia and concluded that they didn’t prove much about what America’s policy should be. Neither nation experienced drops in mass shootings or other gun related-crime that could be attributed to...

AntiGun Statistician Finds Gun Control Doesn't Work

This is a big deal when a self avowed gun control anti gunner looks at the data and realizes gun control doesn't work when they actually looked at the data: Before I started researching gun deaths, gun-control policy used to frustrate me. I wished the National Rifle Association would stop blocking c...

Re: Gun safe thoughts/advice

I haven't bought a safe yet. We just bought our current home this year so I am thinking about it too - hopefully next year. I have a GunVault next to the bed for night and a small safe in my home office. A few years back I bought the Stack-On metal cabinet since we still have a youngling at home. I ...

Re: Glad I was Carrying

If you search the forum, you will find that being the first to call 911 might be in your best interest. In the past, I would have done the same as you and not called 911 in this exact circumstance. Based on the wisdom of others here I have changed my mind. * You want to be the first to call 911 - it...

Re: Glad I was Carrying

Don't beat yourself up. I've shared before... I made the mistake not to listen to my instincts and was robbed at gunpoint about 25+ years ago at a car wash. You did the right thing as far as I'm concerned - very measured response as you were trapped at the intersection with two guys banging on your ...

Re: Oathkeepers Call to Action: Volunteers Needed to Protect Houston Disaster Relief Center and Relief Workers

If I recall there was a church in the metroplex that got in trouble. I don't remember any of the details as it has been some time ago. For some reason I want to say it was The Potter's House, but I could be mistaken. When we started our church's security team in 2009, the instructors who led our Le...

Re: Anyone know this 'lawyer'?

He deleted his twitter account. Quick search on twitter reveals there are numerous people tweeting to his law firm and the State Bar and a change.org petition has been started to file a complaint with the Texas State Bar.

I do think he should face some sort of disciplinary action by the Bar.
