Re: Gander until 5/6/17: Cowboy .22, Canik 9, LC9s, 10% off 1911's.

Thanks for the translations, guys. If you find a GOOB GM, they do have some deep (up to 40% currently) discounts on clothing and other paraphernalia, but ammo and guns still only 5%, so not worth the trouble. I received an email today from GM with notification of 10% off firearms and ammo as well a...

I couldn't say if they are connected in any way, but Kimber's manufacturing facility is in NY. Grizzly Customs is in MT.

Re: Ranges near Concan/Frio River?

I'll be taking a 4 day vacation this coming weekend in the Concan/Frio River area. Any shooting ranges in the area? Here's the NRA website with ranges within 50 miles of Zipcode 78838 (Concan). The map is at the bottom of the web page. https://explore.nra.org/interests/recreational-shooting/

EDITED: BTW I didn't mean to infer you were shooting a centerfire at Tin Pan Alley. It just didn't look like TPA to me, which is why I questioned it.

Could it be that the US might be using their launches to try out some kind of StarWars defense weapon? 3. Could the US be retrie...

Re: Home defense: birdshot

Energy transference plays a large part in stopping a charging attacker. A shot in kevlar can knock a man down, because practically all energy is transferred to the target. If your first shot is guaranteed to end the threat it becomes irrelevant, but in any other situation the amount of energy trans...

Re: Finally! Something more redneck than duct tape....

now I'd call that the Mother Of All Tapes. What is commonly called duct tape was actually called Duck tape in WWII when it was developed. It used cotton ducking material as a backing and was developed by a woman who forwarded her suggestion to President Roosevelt to use it to seal ammunition boxes....
