Nice Surprise

In January 2021 I ordered a set of .380 carbide pistol dies from Dillon Precision. I knew these were in high demand, but I didn’t realize just how long I would have to wait. Yesterday USPS delivered those dies, two years after I ordered them. Now, with the exception of .30-.30, I can reload everythi...

Re: Gun Stores off the Beaten Path

I’ve purchased a few things there at Buffalo Sporting Goods. Nice to just look around. If you were traveling on Hwy 75 in that area you probably drove past our place. Was it the Pharm that you tried? I think it is the best restaurant in that area. Edited to add: A&C Firearms in Heidenheimer fits...

Re: Off The Beaten Path - Belton, TX

I grew up in Belton (8th grade thru high school) and traveled back regularly until my parents left in 2016. There is a great Corp of Engineers lake there that I spent a lot of time on while in high school. They have a historic July 4th parade that has taken place since the 1850s. They've also got so...

Re: Ruger lcp

I own a LCP and carry it regularly in a Recluse pocket holster. One thing I encourage you to do is clean it frequently. I have found that it requires cleaning much more often than my Glocks or Springfields. I have had one experience when the slide wouldn't fully return to the ready position, renderi...

Re: Two Way Radios For Our Church

I haven’t responded earlier since I didn’t have a recommendation to meet your requirements but if you’re looking to step up then I have a suggestion. We use Motorola CP200 radios. They require an FCC license and have four channels if you need alternate channels (each channel requires a license). Th...

Re: Two Way Radios For Our Church

Everyone - thanks for all of the useful information. It sounds like I need to look into licensing or the FRS/GMRS options.

Two Way Radios For Our Church

I would appreciate some recommendations on two way radios for use by our church. Currently we have units from Connect Systems (model CS100), but these were $150 each and I need to purchase several more. Our church doesn't have our own building so we setup & tear down each Sunday. We meet on a sc...

Re: Blindsided

One thing I'll add to the OP's list is to use the vehicle to put space between you and someone who approaches. Normally I try to stand in front of the hood or at the rear by the trunk. If someone approaches I can quickly move to put some space and a barrier between us.

glad to hear it; I wonder what action has been taken against the officer back at HQ who told him to arrest the nurse?
I recall the article stating that he had been demoted.

Not as often as I should.

When I leave the house I normally carry from the time I leave until bedtime. I need to get into the habit of arming first thing in the morning.
