Re: University Of Houston Graduation

I attended my Daughter's graduation ceremony this afternoon at NRG Stadium in Houston. (She received her Masters in Education) I was fully expecting signs and security for this event so I left my EDC and knife in the car. To my surprise, there were no signs and only a informal checking of bags. Con...

Re: Conducting a sale ?

I'll let the real lawyers chime in, but even a cash sale is a "contract" under the Uniform Commercial Code. For "valuable consideration" (your cash, check, CC, etc.) a seller relinquishes ownership in an item. Offer and acceptance. With a contract both buyer and seller may requi...

Re: Conducting a sale ?

Cash only. As the buyer I want a receipt/BoS and I'll give one as the seller, but I don't think the seller needs a receipt any more than Target needs a receipt from me if I buy a television and pay cash. I'll let the real lawyers chime in, but even a cash sale is a "contract" under the Un...

Re: Springfield XDE?

I believe "Grip Zone" is just their way of "branding" the friction features of the grip. My goodness, all this head banging and crying about a part name on the grip. I guess the BG would just laugh at you if you tried to defend yourself with this firearm.

Re: Earth Day Demonstrations?

How things have changed. I think this day used to be just a celebration of nature, maybe with hike in the woods, a picnic, an outdoor concert, or something fun. Now we have to have demonstrations about everything including something as innocouous as Earth Day . What's going on? According to Neil de...

Re: O'Reilly Factor

O'Reilly is a commentator not a reporter. Tucker Carlson is a commentator not a reporter. Sean Hannity is a commentator not a reporter. If you watch these shows for news, then your not getting news, you're getting commentary. Shepard Smith is a reporter, who is also a "snarky" commentator ...

Re: MOAB

My point in saying "so what" was not to say it was not sensationalism. Just pointing out that we (our military), over history, has given sensational nicknames to aircraft and other weapons, given our units sensational nicknames (complete with logos depicting various predators and raptors, ...

Re: MOAB

The term "Mother of all Bombs" (MOAB) comes from the official name GBU-43/B "Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB)." So maybe the term for such previous devices like the "BLU-82 "Daisy Cutter" used in Viet Nam would be a more acceptable term to some. Terms such as thes...

Re: North Korea threatens to nuke US

While the nuke threat from N. Korea may be the usual bluster, the real danger to America is the 35,000 U.S. combat troops located just seconds away from massive conventional attack by the North. Having spent two Infantry tours there, the major concentration of our troops in just a few miles from th...

Re: PassOver Day

Although there don't seem to be very many Jews that understand the 2A.... This has always amazed me. However, I have a couple Jewish friends that do. From Dennis Prager in 2006, while things have changed somewhat, still quite relevant explanation: https://townhall.com/columnists/dennisprager/2006/0...
