Re: Freedom Munitions Closing Store

My guess is with the glut of ammo available in the market again it made little sense to maintain a brick and mortar location that couldn't compete on price.

Re: TIP: Gun cleaning indoors

I have not used LPX though I think I'm going to give that and their gun cleaner a try since I'm almost out of Ballistol. For my shotguns and rifles, I use a boresnake and the Otis kit. I like the pull through feature that both offer and the Otis kit has a 12 GA adapter to make a snug seal with the b...

Re: TIP: Gun cleaning indoors

Aside from cleaning my own guns, I clean a lot of customer guns so I'm always looking for tips. M-Pro 7 is excellent. I keep a 32 oz spray bottle of it close by my bench. I've got the copper cleaner too but don't use it much. I'm too cheap to go the puppy pad route. I cut boxes down and use them. G...

Re: Balistol vs Hoppes

I recently switched to Ballistol as my primary CLP and have been pretty happy with it. I don't grease the rails on my pistols and haven't noticed any abnormal or accelerated wear while using Ballistol. It is a fairly mild cleaner so if you have some heavy duty copper or powder fouling, you will prob...

Re: Oklahoma House passes "Constitutional Carry" bill

In Texas, "trained" would be people who know some amount of Texas law and are able to shoot somewhere near the middle of a giant sheet of paper. It's not difficult. So constitutional carry in a state like Oklahoma where the gun culture is woven into society? Works for me. But if constitutional carr...

Re: Austin based Yeti quits doing business with NRA

I have a few miscellaneous coolers around the house that get used from time to time. New coolers seem to be purchased while traveling... Fly someplace (OBX), need a cooler for less than the $50 (round trip) it would cost to check it as baggage. I've tossed out a lot of Styrofoam coolers over the ye...

Re: 147th Annual NRA Meeting in Dallas

The danger to posting at sites such as this, my local paper had quotes from Grundy1133 concerning the NRA convention and disarming LTC holders. Not that Grundy comments were bad but they can be used to reflect against the NRA if the author of the newspaper column wants to slant it that way, and the...
