Re: Need help teaching wife to shoot

Where are you located? Maybe someone near you can offer to help. I know many husbands/ wives where they cannot teach each other. While I am not an NRA instructor, and many of my friends are not either, we tend to teach our friends spouses, at least to get them proficient, then the spouses tend to be...

Re: Question about carrying in the car

IANAL, but it seems to me that if a LEO orders you to do something illegal, then you should not be charged with that crime. Otherwise, we always have a very reasonable excuse for refusing to follow LEO orders that we think could possibly be illegal. As I see it, if an officer orders you to leave yo...

Re: Question about carrying in the car

Re: Gun Law Question

If you want to keep the gun, sounds as if it is yours to keep

If she wants it back, and you don't want to give it, she can take you to small claims courts, as unless she is saying you stole it, it's a civil matter

Vol, For the Mark IV, I did read there was a recall on it recently, so be sure when you buy a new one, it is post-recall not pre-recall to save yourself some headaches https://ruger.com/dataProcess/markIVRecall/ I have 2 of the Mark III 22/45's and love the guns, so I hope when you get your Mark IV,...

Re: Walked out of Academy Last Night

I asked this chat person to file an "official complaint" and noted that the other stores do not require it and I would no longer buy ammo at Academy until this is changed I suggest everyone on here do the same I suspect that this is one boycott that isn't going anywhere. I'm not boycottin...

Re: Walked out of Academy Last Night

I did a "contact us" earlier today from their website Only 2 options - phone or chat - no email or web form So I did a chat with someone and complained about this actual issue They said it is "store manager" policy to require ID/DOB (I explained that I am well above the age of re...

Re: LTC, CHL. CHP...which is it in Texas?

CHl = concealed handgun license
Now that open or concealed its LTC
LTC = license to carry

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter (legally) what you call it, but as your license allows open or carry, calling it a CHL is a misnomer
