Re: Pulled over for speeding - you won't believe what happened next!

Every experience I’ve had with Texas State Troopers have been positive. I’m glad yours was as well Me too except maybe for troopers at the drivers license office. Just renewed my driver's license 2 days ago. No problem at all with any of the officers there. They were all very friendly to my carrying.

Re: TSA Contact

Well guess what! I found out where the people who fail the TSA test go. They become "Customs" Agents. We were returning from a cruise on Tuesday. My Wife had made a significant Jewelry purchase in Grand Cayman. While clearing customs, the agent told us to "Go into the little room and ...

Re: TSA Contact

I have a respectable IQ yet I failed the TSA test and I wonder how some of their agent's passed the test? Not to sound like a dummy but also failed the Walmart test and really scratch my head when I see some of their employees. D'oh! :banghead: I think you're looking at it wrong. The IQ limit on th...

TSA Contact

Not exactly an LEO contact but I approached a TSA agent in Austin/Bergstrom Int'l Airport yesterday. I learned something. Did you know that our CHL is not issued to us? As I approached I was trying to get at my Driver's license for ID. In the process, the agent saw my CHL. She snapped, "Is that...

I was thinking more of Andy Griffith show. Was the officer named Barney?

Obviously not. He had a bullet in his gun!

If I were to agree to their terms, I would want an additional agreement from the employer that all information be kept confidential.

Re: Branson Mo

My wife and I are going to Branson and are looking to ride the Landing Princess for a boat ride and dinner. Does anyone know if it is prohibited carry? Just returned from our Branson trip. Not sure about the "Landing Princess", but we did the "Showboat Branson Belle" riverboat &...

Re: Branson Mo

Thanks Guys. I've read up on MO handgun laws. Just wanted to check if there are any "gotchas" that I need to watch out for.

I guess I'll just continue to carry my 3.5" Uncle Henry. Got it sharpened free at Cabela's yesterday.

Re: What would you do

I might shoot the ceiling to get his attention and break it up but depending on how close etc. I might feel too threatened and have to just shoot him in self defense as well as defense of the attacked individual. I consider warning shots a no-no. You don't know who might be upstairs or on the roof.

Re: OPEN CARRY WHILE ON A MOTORCYCLE?

I registered just to answer this question! Several years ago (before the recent Open Carry laws) I called my local police department to ask if it were legal for me to transport a rifle that I'd just purchased, on my motorcycle. The very helpful officer informed me that was (and still is) perfectly ...
