Re: Need help teaching wife to shoot

Years ago, a friend lamented that he had tried repeatedly to teach his wife to drive a stick shift and had gotten nowhere. His car was a '60 - something Mustang with a V-8. I volunteered to teach her, using my Dodge van. The combination of a heavy vehicle with a straight 6 engine made it a very frie...

Why Trump Easing Gun Export Rules Is Good For American Gun Owners

Four senior U.S. officials told Reuters the rule change would shift oversight of commercial arms sales from the State Department to the Commerce Department — giving American manufacturers more leeway to sell guns internationally, creating more jobs stateside and adhering to the president’s “Buy Ame...

Re: CITY: 2 GUNMEN KILLED OUTSIDE MUHAMMAD CARTOON CONTEST

I have no sympathy for those two terrorist wannabe used to be's. Here's what stuck out to me from that article. Suspects were DOWN, but still twitching, so they get shot some more. Okay. SWAT arrives on scene and because the, probably dead, suspects won't comply with their commands get shot some mo...

Re: another 30.06 question

According to the DPS report for 2016 : 5 license holders were convicted for "UNL CARRY HANDGUN LIC HOLD" and 5 license holders were convicted for "UNLAWFUL CARRYING WEAPON". I don't know what those would be if not 30.06/30.07 violations. :headscratch There was also one license ho...

A guy at the Mossberg Owners Forum found a very affordable NcSTAR scabbard that is plenty big enough =AND= covers the trigger guard.

Re: Moved out of state but still want to keep my TX CHL

Very important- this must be done by mail. This cannot be done online. You must mail an LTC-70 & check for $25, also include a front & back copy of your new Michigan DL/ID card. On the LTC-70 it provides for Name Change, Address Change, Replacement (lost / stolen) and Designation (vet, inst...

I wouldn't overlook that Anderson AR that loktite posted above.

For those who don't know it, Anderson Manufacturing has been forging and machining uppers and lowers for many years. They are found in ARs from some of the biggest names in the industry.

Re: More skeet pics

Here's one of AndyC. What is interesting to me is everything that was caught in this one image. Starting from the muzzle of his shotgun, you can see the gunsmoke, wad, and the shot cloud. Unfortunately, he missed both the clay and the airplane. ;-) https://i.imgur.com/P4bWvOS.jpg

Re: Pros & cons comparing rifles w/ shotguns using slugs?

Well, this has been a very enlightening discussion. Jason812 mentioned that a <standard?> shotgun slug = 437.5 grains. Someone else mentioned that the Brenneke (sp?) slugs = 602 grains. A .45 ACP is fairly heavy for a pistol round, but is only 230 grains. So, a standard slug of 437.5 grains would =...
