Re: Minimum Caliber for Handgun Proficiency Exam

This was how I was taught to shoot, although I don't remember anyone telling me where to locate the nonshooting hand. The Theory was reduce your target and keep the left hand available for reloads. I still shoot best one handed with my body aligned with the bullet path. I don't normally shoot this ...

infoman wrote:“Assault by threat” is what you’re describing. Simple Assault can & usually is physical.

I thought that once it got physical it was assault and battery? Is there a difference between "simple assault" and "assault and battery"?

Re: Really Ticked Off

What is the legal definition of assault?
I thought assault and battery was when someone was actually beaten up
Simple assault was just a lot of yelling screaming and threats.
How could this be domestic violence?

I wonder how she would react to Mad mommys and leftist who advocate banning guns and destroying an industry?

I think the value of these have gone up considerably in the last 2 weeks. If I had the money I would consider buying one for an investment. I've seen people make good money selling preban ARs and ammo during the shortages.

Whataburger isn't Starbucks nor are they the NFL.

They know and understand their customers and want to be a good neighbor. 1 stupid action by one stupid employee doesn't reflect on the whole corporation.

I have no doubt that Whataburger will properly address this issue.

Maybe just maybe they are still holding a grudge over some missing little plastic tents

Re: GOP lawmaker drafts bill requiring journalists to register with police

I find it frightening even if the legislation is only designed to make a point. Putting such a bill in play is like giving a baby a loaded handgun. The trigger just might get pulled

Re: 3rd Generation Smith and Wesson slide lube

I use Lubra Plate 630. Lithium white grease. I clean and lube every time I shoot To be honest, I don't think the type of oil or grease make much difference. I like to use just a little grease on the slide because it tends to stay put more than oil I use a thin layer for the recoil spring and slide r...

Re: Thoughts on [Pre-paid legal service]

I received an email today from the not to be mentioned company that says they have 1/4 million members so apparently they are a force to be reckoned with. It is my understanding that it is not legal for them to be advertised as "insurance". It is also a question as to how many cases they ...

Re: Thoughts on [Pre-paid legal service]

I bought prepaid legal fees. If something bad happens, the whole scenario of jail, grand jury, etc. is not to be taken lightly. The thing is the prepaid services are not going to keep you from being held over night for questioning or help you in a grand jury. A lawyer can not represent you before a...

Re: Taking CHL class in Michigan

The Michigan license is recognized in Texas. It is a good idea to get the Texas LTC at some point anyway. The Texas LTC will be more widely recognized than a non resident Michigan license in different states. The 1000ft gun free zone doesn't apply to Texas LTC Holders. By-passing the NICS phone in w...
