Re: I want to keep my guns.

I wrote an article in my blog about the AR-15. I wrote it with non shooters in mind, With an attempt to explain that the AR-15 is not any more of a threat to society than any other weapon while explaining its popularity.

Re: Precision Small Arms only has a 1-year warranty

I always found it ironic that Ruger has no written warranty at all, Just call them up and they pretty much take care of any issues. It's worked well for them and most customers.

Re: FL: Active shooter at high school in South Florida

With all due respect I find the arguments for banning backpacks the same one being used by anti-gunners wanting to ban guns. What’s next maxipedition bags, purses, guitar cases, briefcases, fanny packs, etc.... :iagree: There's no reason to ban backpacks or AR-15 rifles in schools. I just don't und...

Re: FL: Active shooter at high school in South Florida

These days even adults need a backpack, It's the briefcase of the newer millenium, a little easier to carry, and a lot more organized. What goes into mine? prescription medicines. Blood test kit Documents for current projects( usually 100 150 pages)in folders A 6 in one tool (screwdriver socket thin...

Re: FL: Active shooter at high school in South Florida

We really need to harden schools. Doors need to be locked to the outside, security guards need to be armed and staff who are willing to be trained and carry concealed must be allowed to do so. This is the only way to stop or limit school shootings. We have known this since at least Sandy Hook. The ...

Re: Carrying in Sedona, Arizona

The folks carrying the single action revolvers were most likely tour guides. They dress to play a part for the visitors. Sedona is loaded with hippies and new agers. It is completely legal to carry openly or otherwise, but I wouldn't open carry there at most establishments or to the "vortexes&qu...

Re: Green/Red chamber

I always carry with 1 in the chamber and mag filled to capacity. Safety on. My hand guns are always in this condition in a trigger covering holster even when stored. I have no children. When I have visitors doors are locked. Personally I wouldn't carry a Glock or Glock type handgun in this manor, bu...

Re: Attacking pit bull shot in League City

I consider it much more likely to have to use deadly force against a dog than a human. Is it a bad idea to fire a pocket 380 with Hornady Critical Defense with muzzle contact against a dog's neck? I think its not a great Idea. 1: Muzzle contact may cause over pressure in the chamber. 2: Sounds like...

Re: Double-stack 9mm with the thinnest grip

My EDC is a Beretta PX4 SC . It is a DA/SA hammer operated. It's has a 3 inch barrel and comes with 13 rnd Mags. one of them has a convenient snap down pinky extender. I have short stubby fingers, but I still use the medium sized backstrap. and it works well for me. I believe the smallest backstrap ...

Re: Ham Radio Operator Finds Lost NASA Satellite

He should get a finder's fee  He 100% should get some kind of finders fee or SOMETHING! I'm sure he will get a wonderful "AttaBoy" from somebody deemed important. Getting a finders fee or substantial reward is against the whole mindset of the amateur radio folks. It's all about pri...

Re: You missed one of the great Super Bowl games!

I think most people who have visited Philadelphia would agree that some cities are better off being burned to the grown, They do have some ancient Taverns, Freedom hall, and a big ole bell, but for the most part it is a filthy garbage heap where the leaders decided it is unfair to the street scum fo...

It is curious, though, that an NRA delegation would be visiting a repressive, totalitarian state like Russia, and that a former Duma member and deputy head of the Russian central bank would attend the NRA convention. I would like to see the National Rifle Association clarify its relationships with ...
