Re: Question about carrying in the car

My permit is on the way but while I'm waiting, is it ok to carry a gun on one's person if inside a car they own? I know I can carry out of plain sight in the car but does "out of plain site" include concealed on my person? Can I do this or should I just wait for the permit. This always st...

Re: Called out in church on my CC

I have to admit that some of the posts by open-carry supporters and practitioners taking a " it's none of their business if I'm carrying " approach caused me to chuckle. Apparently, I'm in the minority on this issue. Although it rarely happens, when I'm asked if I'm carrying a gun, I almo...

Re: Px4 Storm

I JUST got back from Academy. I have been interested in the PX4 as well. I looked at the compact model. I know each of us have our own preferences, and to me while is is a solid built fine looking piece of machinery, it's just too bulky and heavy for a CC... Just my own opinion of course... If you'...

Re: Px4 Storm

I have the PX4 SC I really like it and it is my EDC. Great shooter and carries well. Probably too big to be a true subcompact. It's not clear what the intended purpose she wants the PX4 for but its a big gun for most ladies to conceal carry. She might take a look at the subcompact. Beretta makes a r...

The CHL line is a shorter faster line than what the common folks have to endure.

Re: AR 15 under 400$?

You still haven't mentioned if you're worried about jealousy from your RGS, and whether or not they'll make nice together in the safe when you're not watching. :evil2: The RGS will always get lots of love and TLC. Still remains my 'goto' weapon of choice and the big brother for the AR. The AR will ...

Re: AR 15 under 400$?

I posted this elsewhere, but Buds has the Ruger AR 556 for $449. Not under $400, but a darn good entry level AR, IMHO. If I were on the hunt for a cheap AR made by a reputable company, THIS is the one I'd take. It may not be the best AR available, but it is likely to be the best one available at th...

Re: AR 15 under 400$?

If I were on the hunt for a cheap AR made by a reputable company, THIS is the one I'd take. It may not be the best AR available, but it is likely to be the best one available at that price; and it is backed by Roger's warranty. Plus, MSRP on that gun is $799; so $449 is a pretty good price for it. ...

Re: Deferred Prosecution Question

To be clear, this happened when I was 14. It was an assault charge and I got DEFERRED PROSECUTION. This is NOT the same as deferred adjudication. I fly through NICS background checks in seconds and have nothing else on my record. This never shows up anywhere. To the best of my knowledge it is not o...

Re: Ruger AR556 $449 free shipping

It's a strange world we live in when we can buy a quality AR15 cheaper than we can buy most quality defensive conceal carry handgun.

I bought one of these carbines a week ago, well made and lots of fun and I was not disappointed.

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President

I share a lot of the same frustrations, but feel the GOP as a whole is as much to blame, if not more so, than Trump. It's obvious Trump doesn't have full support of his own party; if he did, I think we would have seen a lot more progress to-date. He's shown a willingness to push his agenda much mor...

Re: Pros & cons comparing rifles w/ shotguns using slugs?

The only downside of slugs, is its limited range less than 50 yards otherwise, you lose accuracy Shooting a bear at more than 50yds isn't likely to be an acceptable excuse to a game warden. Those bears though can be a pretty big target. There are places in New England that restrict deer hunting to ...

Re: Water vs Bullets?

I had some 9mm Winchester White Box that took a salt water bath courtesy of Hurricane Ike. It was a short bath but the ammo sat wet in a magazine for about a month. When I eventually recovered the ammo, I discovered that it had lots of green and blue growths I wiped them off with a cloth and took th...

I think it was the threats that he would send only the indigent to the hospital was the clincher. It's nice to see at least some part of his life crumble.
