Re: Who in DFW will install night sights on an XD?

Elk Castle installed the XS Big Dots on my XD about three years ago. Cost about $25.00 and took less than thirty minutes. You might also check with On Target south of Benbrook. I traded with a forum member for a used 1st gen P3AT a couple of years ago. It's been 100% reliable for me.

Re: Ruger informal poll

I owned a P89 several years ago. The only problems were traced to an aftermarket (ProMag) magazine. Never a problem with the factory mags.

Ahh...shotguns!...right up my alley! And, since you asked ......in my humble opinion if you are looking for a home defense shotgun for less than $500, you can't go wrong with one of these: http://www.remington.com/products/firearms/shotguns/model_870/model_870_express_synthetic_7-round.asp" onc...

Good thing the cops got to the punks before Mr. Lutrell did.

Re: The Myth of 90 Percent: Guns to Mexico

Don't worry... I am jazzed to know that there are a lot of us paying attention and seeing this stuff... Like I said in the other thread...At least we are all up to speed... Now, the question is... What should we do about this??? I believe these lies are too important to just snicker in the back of ...

Re: Help with sights

I have XS Big Dots on two of my guns, soon to be all three. IMHO they are the best there is for close quarters combat. They are especially beneficial to us old guys who have a hard time focusing on the front site.

Re: 1911 Model - What is a good one to start out with?

Rock Island Armory Tactical - around $500 new. It comes with a beavertail grip-safety, so you won't get hammerbite, and the sights are decent Novak-style which makes plinking easier (higher-profile than the tiny milspec sights). Edit: The distributor in Vegas is legendary for their excellent custom...
