I was at the Fort Worth Gun Show Sunday.
Same old 30.06 and "No Loaded Firearms" sign.
For the first time, I ignored it. I suspect others did as well.

ETA: I inquired about this on the FWGS Facebook page. Here is the reply:

"The posting applies as a condition of entry into the privately controlled show area."

I don't recall signing anything to waive my rights when I entered.

They will also have the Lewisville show this weekend posted. I could not find out anything about the site ownership.

StartleGram reports the Fort Worth Zoo has now got it'self designated as a 'day care center" so they can continue to bar CHLs.

I sure hope they have to defend that in front of the AG.

On the plus side, the same article says Tarrant County is being proactive about finding incorrect signs and making them right. They mention the sign at the entrance to the Administration building, which sign has irked me for many years.

There used to be a 30.06 sign on the chain-link gate on the South side of the Will Rogers stock barns. You walked past it when you parked across the street to enter the Stock Show. It was a permanent sign. Is it still there?

Also, the Tarrant County Records Building has a sign on the left side of the main entrance that is not 30.06, but is large and strongly worded to discourage CHLs from entering armed. If that is still up, it should be challenged.
