I received my Faxon 16 inch pencil barrel last week and I have had the KE Arms lower for a while, I plan on using a slick side lightweight upper, I still need to scrounge up a carbon fiber handguard.

The only record S&W that will give an idea of the age will be a ship date, And you obtain this by sending the S&W Historical Society a hundred bucks or so for a “Letter”. They were shipped in Serial order, but some people on the S&W forum may have a data base, and the Standard S&W Ca...

I have never replaced a new style S&W firing pin, just the Old style hammer nose type.

However I would check the end shake first, that can cause light strikes.

The blueing that S&W currently does is not the same process the used in the early 1980s. I don’t know if that is of material to you or not.

If one takes a Response to Active Shooter Class (I have been in two by different instructors) you will have to do long distance shooting. One class (KR Training) had us shooting at an 18 X 24 inch steel plate. We started at 25 yards and worked our way back to 70 yards and got hits all the way. Agre...
