Re: Thinking About Defense of Others

My quandry is this: If I’m walking near the building in question, and I hear gunfire within, I’m likely to stay outside and observe through a window, because I might not risk my life to protect the manager if she is being attacked. My logic is that I might be charged with trespassing if I intervene...

Re: Sub2k Sub2000 folding concealed rifle

If nothing else, this thread made me more sympathetic to the BLM movement than I thought possible. I'm getting pretty sleepy right now but I have no idea what your talking about. Gonna have to throw me a bone here bud. When an LEO expresses contempt for law abiding citizens' efforts to protect them...

Re: Please tell me your feelings!

Trump is unpredictable and have 0 foreign policy experience. I hope he can use his trade negotiating skills for the sole favor of USA, not Russia, not his personal interest, but interest of US people first and foremost. I am skeptical. For me, the largest point for hope is that if he screws this gi...

I really like this! Had to look up tangential.

I knew the word but had to look up the spelling so I won't throw stones. :-)

Re: 9mm ammo: anyone used these brands?

I have used Fiochi and S&B and can't recall any issues with either. I use Fiochi a fair amount as it seems to be stocked where I shop. I don't see the S&B much but it has always worked for me.

Platforms G17, 26, 43, Sub2k. Have run Fiochi through the Walther CCP as well.

Re: Do you shoot a handgun with both eyes open?

Gah. I hate this topic. Because I hate what it says about my diligence on the topic. I do work on it some but I am nowhere near where I need to be.

Sheepishly admit, still a "one eye."

Edit: Cross dominant.

Re: Purposeful Practice

Someone a lot wiser than I said one time, "slow is smooth and smooth is fast." :thumbs2: I had lunch over the holidays with a buddy that got me into IDPA. He has moved on to USPSA. He is a mid pack grand master in production. Paraphrasing he said that when he feels fast, he knows that it ...

Re: Great news!!!

In addition to the $$$ you get to send to the state coffers, you're also morally obligated to share your Wally Walk experience. We all do it differently. Some of us feel like we have a blaze orange brick on our waist. Some of us feel like our shirt tails shrink up two inches when we strapped on that...

Did anybody read the AP's news bite about this situation? Check this out: "...Arizona has a "defense of third person" law that allows someone to use deadly force against another who is threatening or injuring a third person. It was not unusual that the passing driver was armed in thi...

I kind of like it. I'm not sure that it fixes anything for me, but for those folks that really like the 1911 trigger, it may have potential to get some of them. The wait will be on to see if the engineering is there to make it a success.

Re: Do you refuse to do business with 30.06 & 30.07 businesses?

30.06 - avoid 90% of the time 30.07 - I don't like it for those that prefer OC, but it doesn't disappoint me enough to avoid them. I am part of the "dress code" crowd. As far as I know, my sidearm has never given anyone reason to question whether or not I should be in a business regardless...
