Re: Coverage of the Derek Chauvin Trial in death of George Floyd

Anyone who doesn't have a strong opinion about Chauvin and the events that followed probably has some competency issues and shouldn't be allowed to make life-changing decisions for anyone.

Re: Enforceability of mask requirements

My niece with her two kids is visiting from California. We were going into TopWater Grill in San Leon. She walked in and ran out as if she had seen a pack of attacking rabid dogs. The place was very busy, had a waiting list of 35 minutes. Because of objections to the unmasked we decided to go to No...

Re: Corona Virus (COVID-19)( SARS-CoV-2) from China: Its going to be bad.

This was posted by a Facebook friend ( very liberal ) she says her friend posted it. Facebook of course said below it that all vaccines are completely safe and tested. OH MY!! I would believe even CNN before I accepted as fact something posted on Facebook by a friend of a friend with leftist ties. ...

Re: Something else about the recent blackouts

Keeping gas in cans for more than a couple of months is not advisable since it to will "spoil". I actually did an experiment a few years ago: I filled a 5-gal can with regular gasoline in July 2015 and added 2 oz of Sta-bil (from AutoZone) as per the instructions - cool little measuring m...

I'm curious what benefit taking the vaccine does for someone who has already had a positive diagnosis. If you actually had it, you should already have antibodies. A vaccine is going to do the same thing for your system. I'm no doctor or microbiologist...perhaps someone can help me understand. The f...

Re: Settler Colonialism

I remember when segregation was the white man's way to persecute minorities. These days it's integration that is punishing minorities. It's hard to keep up with being politically correct. We can't refer to people as Oriental, Indian, or Negros. Folks have multiple sex assignments and babies being bo...

Re: Stay Warm and Safe the Next Few Days

My understanding is that the amount of water vapor in the natural gas going through the pipelines was high enough to be a problem at very low temperatures, thus the clogs were dependent upon the freezing temperature of water, not the gas itself. Pipeline natural gas is dried to a maximum water cont...

Re: Who didn’t lose power?

I didn't loose power or water, conserved power. I attempted to run my amateur radio gear off my primary battery system which failed miserably. It seems that the 100AH AGM battery doesn't like temperatures below freezing (It is stored outside). Oh well, I had additional LiFePo4 batteries with smalle...

Re: Why Do You Need To Wear A Gun In My Store?

It charges itself with daylight I have a Casio Pathfinder watch that was completely solar. It worked great for about 15 years then would no longer charge n...

I want to see the "shoulder or belt" restriction removed. I don't open carry much,. But I wish to remove my holster and insert it between my seat and console without being foul of the law.

Re: 30.06/30.07 Signs: More? Fewer?

I noticed at the new UTMB in league city, they had the typical 30.07 on the glass, but the 30.06 was not there. Came as a surprise because the campus in Galveston has both signs.

Just Technician right now, one step at a time. If it's something I actually enjoy I'll jump to general then maybe extra. I got 100% on the tech exam so we'll see what happens down the road. You will likely find that a lot of the material on the General exam will look very familiar. and a lot of wha...
