Re: Robbed Inside Walmart - Houston

I recognized that it was a theft in progress. When the guy was running past me I stuck my foot out and tripped the guy. He did a face plant onto the sidewalk, the merchandise went flying, and the store employee was able to sit on the guy until the Police arrived...That sure felt good. Did you get a...

Re: My wife kind of surprised me

I have a flintlock muzzleloader replica on our mantle. I switch it out periodically with two others. It never occurred to me to hang an AR there. I wouldn't put an AR there myself...with a 10 yr old boy who has friends over, I believe the "real" guns belong in my safe if they're not under...

Re: Female in need of CC suggestions for .40

One thing to consider is the Walther PPS in .40S&W http://www.walther-pps.com/. I don't own one myself, but I've heard favorable things about them. Would love to see if others had some experiences to report on this pistol.

Re: Dream Gun

I'd take the gravity gun from Half Life 2...except maybe in a smaller, concealable size. Why shoot someone when you can do things like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L65frfH4JSI" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Can you tell I play computer games? -image removed- I'd ra...

Re: Question: .40 = .45?

I almost forgot to mention -- you might want to consider a .357SIG caliber. Basically it's a VERY hot 9mm bullet backed by a necked-down .40S&W (10mm) casing. If you can deal with the recoil (often a strong muzzle flip, but not too bad), you may find that preferable to a .40S&W. And a .357SI...

Re: Question: .40 = .45?

Ah, caliber wars...break out the popcorn, people :boxing Well, it's all about tradeoffs, right? I shoot 9mm, .40, .45ACP, and even .45 Colt (/thumps chest in manly style), even 2 rounds of .410 buckshot in a Bond Arms derringer (/thumps chest harder) If you are concealed carry, it's often about size...

Re: Hunting: I don't get it

If there are an abundance of Deer that need to be culled, then why are their Deer Breeding Farms all over the country? Let's make a deal. Pick a late October date in the evening time. Drive the _posted_ speed limit along 290, starting from I-10 and going to Austin. Once you get to Austin, get back ...

Re: Drew on a puppy.

Four cops for a stray dog? We're lucky to get four cops for a burglary in progress. It's Pflugerville, how much else could really be goon on? Hey now! We're a REAL city. We have our share of problems. Young whippersnappers jaywalking, chewing gum, and listening to that long-hair music. We need the ...

The next thing I know, he has produced a GUN!!! ...and he says, "You think you're a smart guy (not the term he used)? Pull over buddy (not the name he called me)!!!" I couldn't help myself. I said, "I'm not going to pull over and argue with some gentleman (not the term I used) with a...

Somehow, the thought of making mercury fulminate in the home sounds....bad. (or any other modern primer goo).

Fill 'em up with cheap powder and sell them at gun shows?

just kidding, but you SHOULD know that if you're making such a request, people will want to know what your intentions are.

My wife luvs her XD9. However, the new Glocks have interchangeable backstraps, so I wouldn't rule them out for the ladies.
