Re: What is Abbott waiting for?

I agree with waiting for a press conference. I kind of wish it could be a July 4th signing but timeline doesn't work that way.

Re: Anybody bought body armor? Thinking about it....

I got my ceramic lvl 4 plates from Infidel (also based in Texas, East of DFW). I went in person and got them. Currently in a Pig Brig from SKD. Chest rig is pieced from all over SOE, Tyr, Esstac. If I decided to buy another set I'm going for the poly plates that weight less. I've done training class...

Re: ‘Gun Jugging’ on the Rise in Houston

Sounds like one needs to perform a counter-surveillance maneuver or two after leaving the range - take 3 left-turns and see who's still there, etc :iagree: Augment your normal situational awareness with a 'crazy ivan' or two if traffic/population density hinder your ability to spot a tail...... The...

Re: KT: Louisville woman killed by police after serving a no knock warrant. CHL boyfriend fired at plainclothed officers

Kentucky is KY. If the officers announced their presence, I am not sure how the home owner can claim they did not know it was the cops. This one should get interesting. I wonder if the cops had their body cams running. I do worry about the "no knock" warrants for this very reason. The off...

Re: Ethanol free

Ethanol-free gas is the only gas I run in my three lawnmowers. Good stuff. Several lawn-mower mechanics recommend it too, especially if your lawn-mowers "sit" over the winter. They start right back up in the Spring when I leave ethanol-free gas in them over the winter. Not so much with et...

I have a TP9SFX, would probably fit that as well. How much difference does it make?

Re: So...you didn’t get Stimulus check...

I am blessed not to need a stimulus check, saddened by the people who are out of work who need a stimulus check, and and angry at the manufacture and distribution of printed money to people who were not financially impacted by the crisis. Printing money harms savers the most and is the road to Zimb...

Re: Book Review: Paul Howe’s Leadership and Training for the Fight

I bought it in paperback when it came out in 2011 (I think it was 2011). I do most of my text reading (meaning not textbooks or books with a lot of detailed illustrations) on a Kindle nowadays because I can adjust the font size so that I don't need reading glasses, and I can hold it easily in one h...

After their last bit of nonsense doing the same thing after Sandy Hook I haven't even looked at their site.

Re: Dallas Ordering New Tough Restrictions

The other thing is, unless enough people are willing to head down to the local civil servants office and proceed to committing violence. Plus be committed to a full on revolt. Then there is nothing you can do unless you happen to get a judge to agree with you, and that well after the fact.

I was really surprised we didn't get a curfew going into this weekend. At least in the major cities.

Re: Texas Law regarding Open Carry of Firearm

It's really weird stuff like this that made me decide to just go ahead and sbr my 300 blackout. The reclassification of bump stocks helps illustrate the why as well.
