Re: Are You on The New America’s Hate List?

Saw a shirt this last week that would work with modifications. It had the town name across the top and a checklist below with all the local sites. So I'm thinking:
New America's
Hate List
Checklist

And check the boxes that apply.

Re: Jetblue screwed up

They asked for the key but its a combo which I gave them. Glad it turned out well for you! I kept the above quote because I believe you should not have done that. The case should have been opened only by you. The TSA, nor law enforcement, have permission to have the keys or combo. They are not to o...

Re: Is it illegal to carry in a non legal sign place?

I was told in class and here and by the AG office. If it doesn't meet the 30-06 requirements CCW away and if your discovered and asked to leave simply say sorry and leave. :fire And DPS has stated that they will enforce a sign that they consider to be a "reasonable attempt." How did you g...

Re: Gun safes hacked at defcon

Once again, the annual hackers convention goes after gun safes "A high-end gun safe with a fingerprint scan activated lock can be opened using a pair of paper clips thanks to a hole under the scan pad that allows access to the latching mechanism inside, Security Labs' Toby Bluzmanis showed.&qu...

Flying out of Indy

Well, took my travel pack to Indy last week. Leaving San Antonio was uneventful. No one raised an eyebrow at two pistols and a rifle packed in a two pistol case. But before I do Indy, let me review SA. Flew on Southwest. Filled the firearms inspection tag out at the counter. They looked to see that ...

TAM. Eloquent and on point as always. Yeah, he really should have a blog or something. Well thanks guys but if I had a blog I wouldn't be able to waste so much time here. BTW, the largest part of the day is gone, and they still have not okayed my post for publication. Intellectual rigor and m...

Re: Fear drives opposition to gun control

Is there ANY statistical backing at all to support the common anti's refrain that you or a family member are more likely to be killed with a gun in your home than a bad guy? Or is that just more anti prattle without any basis in fact? As I remember, there was a study done years ago by two doctors, ...

Re: That moment when....

A lot of my wife's friends know if they need something opened to ask me if I have a knife on me (because 99% of the time I do). They don't know that I carry a gun 99% of the time too. I've even had one of her friends make the comment "Are you always carrying a weapon?" (meaning my knife)....

Re: Johnson space center

NASA is not a federal agency though they are funded largely by the Feds and answer to the vice POTUS. They are a government contractor. NASA most certainly is a federal agency, and JSC is federal property. Firearms are completely prohibited: JSC employees aren't even allowed to leave firearms in th...

Re: Awkward

Why? Might be a great time to meet a new neighbor, find a new shooting buddy, have a friend who can keep an eye out if you are out of town, etc. Those are my thoughts, but something feels awkward about it. Maybe it's just the strange coincidence of having your new neighbor find your ad on a statewi...

This should be interesting

Next Wednesday I fly out to Indy for my reunion and to see family. I'm taking my traveling pack with me. That's the Plano two-pistol case with my Kahr CW40, my Sigma .40, and my Kel-Tec Sub2000 folded up in it. With about 8 magazines. If my luck continues to run the way it has with house repairs the...

Re: Flying a Ripped and Torn American and Texas Flag

You are, of course, correct. However, the only thing I would have done differently is that I would have asked them to replace them as soon as they could for the same reasons you gave them instead of "telling" them. IMHO, that came off wrong to them/her and she instantly resisted whatever ...
