Hey, that's my story. Except, I have to admit that I had almost 100 rounds and most of them went down with the boat.

Re: Instructor Certificate Update

Check your certificate when you get it I got mine yesterday has wrong expiration date still shows 12/31/2019 instead of 2021. I sent them an email but will probably have to call them next week. Just knew something would go wrong just too easy this time around. Joe Thanks for heads up, I like to thi...

Re: Instructor Certificate Update

Well...since they lowered the standards to 80% :iagree: I say take what you can get! I have to admit it was better than driving to Austin and hearing them say, "I don't know, someone else will have to answer that." (Usually that means ask an active instructor) Or listening...

I just checked the progress of my certification and all was green with the last statement stating that "Certification Issued". Application : Received Affidavits : Received DL or ID : Valid Citizenship : No documentation required Fee : Received Background Check : Completed Certificate : Iss...

Re: Houston south quadrant breakfast

Even though it is the wife's birthday, I was given a morning pass. I plan to be there. We can sing her happy birthday in absentia with a candle in the birthday cake, er! uh! I mean Kelley's biscuit! Pictures must be taken! I will send it to her. She may laugh or this might be my last breakfast with...

Re: Gov. Abbott Issues Executive Orders

I wish gov. Abbot would issue an order like "Starting immediately, no person in the state of Texas will lose their firearms or property without, due process, legal criminal charges that warrant such action or by anonymous reporting.

Thanks!

Re: Instructor Renewal

Don't know about you guys, but I have a ton of classes booked over the next month plus. Be nice to have the latest and greatest from RSD. I can parse the big pieces for myself, but hearing from RSD sooner than later would be nice. If you keep up with the changes that went through this term of the l...

Re: Would you support this gun private purchase restriction

When the constitution is changed then we can go with your suggestions, until then it violates our rights (and common sense). Your suggestions seem to show that you don’t fully understand the underlying issue and I don’t think it will make a dent in lowering gun crime. More laws will not stop the pr...

Re: Instructor Renewal

According to DPS website, the renewal training materials will be available online starting 9/4/2019 and we would get an email with further instructions. Has anyone received this email yet? Nope, I called and was told I needed to be patient for them to meet their own stated deadline. (not their word...

Re: Would you support this gun private purchase restriction

I do not want any new gun control laws passed on the innocent, law abiding citizen. There are so many laws concerning or affecting some type of gun control that are not even enforced. I suspect if all of these laws were enforced, we would find that our constitutional rights are heavily violated. Pas...

Re: Would you support this gun private purchase restriction

I’m going to get flamed but I’m ready for it. What if their was a law requiring private gun sellers to get three notarized letters from the buyer stating that they have known the person for five years, the person is of sound mind, the person to their knowledge has never been convicted of a crime, d...

Re: Man trespassed for life from ALL Walmarts for OCing a holstered handgun

There is more to this story than what is being told. It is slanted by the way it is reported. Yes, both sides slant the actual truth with partial truth. One just does it more than the other.
