Re: Wearing a mask while LTC

I had to go to the bank the other day. It is local a block away, and they probably recognize me as a familiar face. I walked there, armed but concealed, wearing a fishing type hat, properly masked when I walked in and wearing darkened self-darkening glasses. I cashed and deposited some checks. It fe...

Re: Firebrand Flags

Probably not great for outdoors. Kevlar is pretty good at resisting fire, gunfire and such, but it deteriorates rather quickly with sunshine and UV exposure.

Re: Self-Defense / Tactical Pens

Staples had one of the Zebra pens nearby me, so I picked up one of those to start with. Nice pen, writes moderately at best. Feels pretty sturdy. I’ll probably get some of the Fisher repacked pen refills that are supposed to work in this pen. Reviews on those in this pen are pretty good. For $8 you...

Re: Recommendations for a Cock-On-Closing Bolt Action Rifle

I am a little confused and not sure I understand the issue. I believe that the precision uses the same bolt set up as my Ruger Scout. Mine started off a little stiff. but after a couple of boxes it loosened up a lot and is now slick and smooth. The Scout does have a the removable Buttpad spacers so ...

Re: TX:The mean streets of Houston

What do we think we're up to, 93? At first I thought HPD would be releasing statistics only once per quarter, but it looks like it's every month...only it takes 5 or 6 weeks to update the Excel spreadsheet. Latest version, January through April, is here: https://www.houstontx.gov/police/cs/xls/NIBR...

Re: Man who died from knee to neck was from Texas

Officer's involved need to be looked at, we know in Houston there are a few bad eggs within the police department. Does not give people the right for civil disobedience, part of the blame is this damn virus. People are cooped up, no money coming in and they need to vent. Any time people are unhappy...

Re: After Action Analysis (George Floyd): May 27, 2020

Hurling rocks at people is deadly force not a protest. Burning people’s property is not a protest. Burning the Police Precinct is not a protest. Beware when we call good evil and evil good. We have lost all civility in what is supposed to be the most civil Country in the World. I have all kinds of ...

Re: Man who died from knee to neck was from Texas

Agree about it getting bad. Protesting is one thing and completely reasonable right now. But ceding a police station is going to set the wrong precedent in my opinion. I don't wish for more confrontation but you do have to set some boundaries to civil discourse especially when the government largel...

Re: Man who died from knee to neck was from Texas

Something is wrong in Minnesota, Philando Castile, Justine Damond and Ahmaud Aubrey. I don't think it's racism, just a willingness to kill.

I understood it when they attacked the police station, but Target didn't do anything wrong.

The USS Comfort treated very few, and was sent home because it wasn't used. Coumo preferred to use the nursing homes. He, like Muscillini did keep the trains running.

glad to see the arrogant fools in that article are getting a taste of their own medicine, finally get to live under the "laws" they foolishly supported out of the arrogance of their ignorance. saw the same type of fools at the start of the LA riots, standing there whining about " a w...
