Re: Do you wear gloves when cleaning your guns?
I have been using M-Pro 7 Gun Cleaner. It's non-toxic, environmentally safe, does a really good job at removing carbon and it does not stink. http://www.mpro7.com/m-pro7-gun-cleaner.html Edited to add that the M-Pro 7 Gun Cleaner has no odor. Here is an explanation as to why http://www.mpro7.com/if-...

Re: IDPA 2017 rulebook adds Pistol Caliber Carbine Division (PCC) (i.e. rifles)
I got all excited about the new Pistol Caliber Carbine (PCC) division that I went out and bought one. Now the released rulebook makes PCC nonexistent as a division. It makes no sense.

Re: Replacing sights on Springfield XD9
So, i EDC a MOD2. I agree that the sights could be better. When they installed the sights, do they make sure it shoots accurately? What if you need to adjust the site because they put it on wrong? Here is my limited experience shooting 3 different Springfield Armory pistols from sandbags to a targe...

Re: Replacing sights on Springfield XD9
I love the way the gun shoots but fit and finish leaves a lot to be desired. First time to use the slide release lever required a pair of smooth jawed pliers... and the magazine ejector would only push from one side until a healthy application of grinding compound and a polisher to the release mech...

Re: Sub2k Sub2000 folding concealed rifle
TAM, you make some good points about the MI optic and QD mounts. I look forward to a range report about your experience with the MI optic mount. I agree the QD mount does not have a good return to zero but hopefully it will hold zero good enough for targets out to 50 yards. I still need to go to the...

Re: Sub2k Sub2000 folding concealed rifle
If your Kel-Tec Sub-2000 Gen 2 is shooting low even though you have the front sight bottomed out here is most likely the cause and how to fix it. In the Kel-Tec Sub-2000 Gen 2 manual on page 11 for Sight Adjustment, you need to tighten the screw that is labeled "Notice: Do not tamper with or lo...

Re: Sub2k Sub2000 folding concealed rifle
Hi TAM, How well does the MI optic mount hold zero? I've read some reports that some folks were having issues with the mount holding zero. I was going to go with a QD mount and just remove the optic before folding up the rifle. From your pictures, it looks like you got one of the updated Gen 2's tha...

Re: Replacing sights on Springfield XD9
The sights on the Springfield Armory XD/XDm/XD-S are extremely difficult to remove and install. You will need to use a sight pusher designed specifically for the XD. Here is a link to a sight pusher that should work on your XD9, but it's not clear if it works on the XD9 Mod 2 variant: https://www.pi...

Re: Sig MCX recall
Thanks for the correction on the Sig model difference. I clearly had not picked up on the difference and I should have given how much time I had spent reading reviews. I'm glad the MPX was not involved in the recall. It looks like part of the recall is to pin the spring-plate in place, which would a...

Re: IDPA 2017 Rulebook dramatically changes BUG size/weight limits
I'm not at all happy that I cannot shoot my new CZ75 Compact PCR in CCP. I like to shoot what I carry, but if I were to keep shooting it, it would be in ESP and with a 3.8" barrel. Although I don't care about winning my Division/Class, I don't care to be embarrassed either. A 3.8" barrel ...
