Re: I let my LTC expire

For $40 (or $25 in my case), I just see no reason not to renew.

Actually, due to Heller and some following federal court decisions, PR is now a shall issue jurisdiction and actually has a mechanism for reciprocity.

Re: Rifles are better than handguns in a firefight

One or two of the handguns appeared to be firing on automatic. The down comments to the video mentioned "switches" and I assume they are talking about those illegal devices made in China. Hopefully those do not make it into the USA. Chicago and Houston are dangerous enough. They convert G...

Wow that is really violent. Kind of surprised this wasn't national news. It's not like Puerto Rico is Chicago or anything.

As long as the paper that gets sent back has the actual physical $200 stamp. That's the coolest part.

Re: Post Office Law Suit to Repeal Carry Rule

So, I have a question, since this thread was "brought back to life". Does anyone know of any case law where a person's vehicle was searched without other provocation (an altercation, other crime committed, etc.) while parked in the open-to-the-public parking lot of a Post Office, a firear...

Good, so like all other federal buildings 18 USC 930 only prohibits firearms in the buildings but not in the parking lots or other property.

Re: Secured area of airport

I thought they were covered under LEOSA and able to carry into the secure area of an airport. They're not, really? Nope. LEOSA covers violating of state and local laws only, not federal. Can't carry in post offices, military bases, airports, etc. This brings up a question as to how a LTC can have a...

Re: Kenosha Wisconsin Shooter discussion

An update. As was noted quite some time ago when the issue first came up. Rittenhouse's possession of the AR15 at age 17 was legal under WI law. The law prohibiting carrying of "dangerous weapons" by those under 18 does not apply to non-NFA long guns like his friend's AR15. An update. The ...

Re: Kenosha Wisconsin Shooter discussion

I just heard something on Fox that was concerning. The lawyer in Fox seemed to think it wasn't the strongest thing but it's still concerning. The comment that by going after a misdimeanor charge of illegally having the gun due to age carries with it the removal of the ability to claim self defense....

Re: Need a little clarification on new law

A "Terry Stop" requires a (specific) reasonable, articulable, suspicion that a crime (penal code violation in TX) is being committed or is about to be committed, OR it is not lawful. "The guy looked like a mook" doesn't cut it. And now with unlicensed open carry being legal, nei...
