Re: 30.07 Language Discussion
Unfortunately I did not photograph the one at the waiting area....I was anxious to get out unnoticed. Just curious, were you OC'ing, it wasn't mentioned in your OP? Not when I entered, but when I took my jacket off in the restaurant, yes. I am not judging by all means but asking for learning purpos...

Re: Filming cops is not a 1st Amend. Right
I think where the confusion starts is the difference between video recording and audio recording. Police have the right to record their encounters with us because the state(s) grant them more powers than the average everyday person in order to enforce the laws. Most of the time the stops they have b...

Re: Hotel question
yes it is legal notice, the law for hotels was changed and requires that if they don't want weapons then it has to be done at the time of the online reservation. so yep its legal notice guests are expected to read on the hotel's website to get effective notice? I don't recall seeing that in chl16. ...

Re:
Texas Tech University in Lubbock probably has 30+ 30.06 signs on every road in to and through campus. They probably doubled the number of them in the past 12 months, too. I called up the General Counsel office a couple months ago to let them know about it. I actually got someone who has a CHL and u...

Re: Hand on open carried gun
I used this at a Valero last night. There was two guys standing by the entrance asking for money. I parked by the pump and began using my debit card to fuel up. Both men started walking in my direction. Before they could even reach my truck I said to them, "Im not gonna give you any money.&quo...

Re: Hand on open carried gun
Having a hand on your still holstered weapon to deter an aggressor and give yourself a fighting chance should the agressor decide to escalate is not a DC. You didn't choose the situation, the agressor did. You simply responded (in a measured and appropriate manner I would say) to a situation that y...

Re: Hand on open carried gun
I am currently going through a peace officer academy and I do not think what you did was considered disorderly conduct. I believe that statute was more for the individuals who decide to become irate and wave a gun around with no muzzle discipline or for individuals who draw a weapon illegally when t...

Re: Buffalo WW disregards 2A?
Ive repeatedly seen NON- compliant signs at BWWs but they were always like 8'' by 8'' and just said "Buffalo wild wings proudly says No guns allowed" or something to that effect.

Re: Inside waistband holster ?
Crossbreed hands down. I have carried in a crossbreed since I got my CHL and they are phenomenal. The break in time is a little longer but let me tell you, once its broken it, there is no beating a crossbreed. they are sturdy, will last years. I recommend the horsehide because its a little tougher a...

Re: Suggestions for a comfortable IWB for Glock 19
as far as OWB I use safariland 6378 (level 2) paddle holster (with and without the TRL1 light) Mine came in Tuesday and I am quite surprised at how comfortable it is; I like it a lot. I also got the ALS guard to test out. The ALS guard (in my opinion) is just garbage, i took it off my duty holster ...

Re: Suggestions for a comfortable IWB for Glock 19
I have carried both OWB and IWB with my G22 and G27 and Kimber and it comes down to these IWB - NOTHING i have tried has beat Crossbreed IWB for any handgun. I have bought one for each handgun i own and all in horsehide and they are excellent. They only get better with age and the more you wear and ...

Re: What is a belt holster
who actually carries like that though.. nobody I know of. The people that I know that do carry weapons in their pockets carry subcompact or tiny two shooters in their pockets so its kinda a moot point if you ask me. The majority of people carry via belt or shoulder holster anyways. And those who don...

Re: What is a belt holster
I think you guys are putting to much thought into this whole "belt holster" and "shoulder holster" wording.. I believe the way that the new OC statutes are worded is to the absolute benefit of the carrier. Reason being is any holster you wear on your waist is considered a belt h...
