Re: Open Carry News Tidbit

I originally wasn't a huge fan of OC, still not a huge fan but I can defiantly see the useful applications. This is Texas after all, and it tends to get a little hot in the summer so OC'ing may be a better option for the hotter than Hyades months.

Re: ATF study (for ban) on Imported Shotguns released 1-26-1

Let's say that this study somehow makes it's way as law, couldn't you just buy a saiga 12 parts kit, and the assemble the rest yourself? After all, the only "gun" part of the weapon is the receiver, and should this ban take effect I could see a lot of saiga receivers becoming avalible.

Re: Hughes Amendment NOT legally passed, Video evidence encl

As a NFA collector who owns some "pre-1986" guns, I'm very disappointed that this amendment was attached to the 1986 FOPA. I was aware of the FOPA and the debate surrounding it in 1986. While it generally improved things for gun owners a lot, the the gun control types were in full form. Y...

Because most people don't know that a "Computer glitch" is 99.9% of the time code for "I was messing with something I should not have been."

Can somebody please summarize what's going on here? I don't understand what this is about, and what exactly Rangel did/didn't do. Thanks. A vote was called on the Hughes Amendment, then a recorded vote was requested, and the Hughes amendment was defeated, another vote was called (illegal) and "...

I was thinking, maybe since we have control of the house, if the next time democrats want something passed, that we could slip something in that repeals Hughes' amendment. At least it would be something.

Re: Gun Deaths and Gun Laws

And the reason Louisiana is so high is their insane laws dealing with murder cases. That's the 60 day rule right? Something like if you're not convicted of a crime within 60 days you're let go? I remember watching Gangland on the History Channel, and they we're doing a show on some New Orleans gang...

I don't know how the forum feels about full-auto's, personally I'm lukewarm to them (mostly due to the requirements to own one), regardless, I felt that this needed to be shared with the gun community at large.
