Re: ‘Good luck with THAT’! Texas Dem Beto O’Rourke just handed Ted Cruz a LANDSLIDE election win

what? The democrat candidate for US Senate for the state of Texas just said that Texans shouldn't be allowed to buy AR-15s?

I'm very happy to hear that.

Re: Mag swapping

Next time you go ask them what ammo you CAN'T use.

I'm sure that they'll let you go through a magazine of Hornady Critical Duty.

Next time check www.ammoseek.com or sgammo.com for some well priced jacketed hollow points.

Re: DOJ Reclassifies Bump Stocks as Machine Guns

CCW didn’t kill any students or concert-goers, and neither did the use of suppressors. exactly right. These two items rather are issues of public safety. We must act to improve the rights of law abiding gun owners. We need reciprocity, we need the elimination of gun free zones, and someone explain ...

Re: Glock 43 or 26 For A Yard Gun - Opinions?

I really like the Glock 26. Especially with the Magpul 12 rd PMag. It increases the magazine capacity by 20% and gives the grip just barely enough length to lock the pinky in while only adding about 1/4" overall length to the grip. That said... I wouldn't expect to need more than your 6+1 capac...

Re: Average age?

I'm now closer to 50 than 40... but the question I'd be more interested in was at what age did you get your CHL, now LTC. I was 30- and have had if for 16yrs. Although for the older people, it wasn't an option when they were young That would be interesting to see. Can't believe I waited until I was...

Re: Pellet Grills

Search: smoking meat forum. Bunch good folks there. I purchased a Masterbuilt electric smoker a while back. Modified a popcorn tin and dryer duct for a smoke chamber using pellets in an Amazen Pellet smoker tray. Great little set up. Caution when buying pellets. Many brands are a cheap base wood fl...

Re: KS: KU campus crime down 13 percent; no weapons violations reported in first six months of campus carry

http://www2.ljworld.com/news/2018/mar/02/ku-campus-crime-went-down-13-percent-2017-no-weapo/ If the Police Chief really thought he needed six new guys to police those with licenses to carry, shame on him. More likely he saw way to use the administration's paranoia to bump up his manpower . Definite...

Re: Voting Thread for March 6th

Who is bigger on gun rights - crenshaw or wall? I heard the radio ad of Ted Cruz endorsing Wall, but I do know that Crenshaw is a battle-wounded veteran. Not sure what his stance is on the gun debate, and they were not on my ballot. I do loathe the attack ads on the radio though. Political ads are ...

Re: Nervous about my proficiency test next week

Hi all, Could you tell me how the proficiency will go to ease my stress? I am a novice. I’ve shot a gun about 3 times in my life. I know the basics of how to load, reload, basic gun safety. Will the test Procter ask me to demonstrate anything special? Also, Im not terribly accurate with my Ruger lc...

Killadocg23 , Do you mind stating the name of or what form asked such a question? I ask out of simple curiosity. Thanks! No problem. It is for Form I485 "Adjustment of status". I am a student here in Texas and me and my fiancee are getting married. One of the questions on the from was &qu...

Re: CNN Expert demos Full Semi Auto AR15 mode - The stupid burns

His full semi-automatic weapon is interesting. I wonder if he also has semi-full automatic capability as well. I wish that he would have demonstrated that functionality and explained the difference between a semi-automatic weapon and a "machine gun"

Interestingly the only thing that you have to do to switch from single shots to full semi auto is keep shooting. :headscratch

Not someone I trust to follow or take advice from. Might be helpful to add some color to that statement. While I would agree on his advice for pistol choice- but his disdain for the 1911  doesn't change the lane of action, assuming one has a serviceable weapon and the mindset/skill set to em...

Re: 2018 Houston Rodeo updates

This is a sign of progress that they are allowing legal handgun carry onto the main property of the event. I assume that they will still post signage banning carry into the stadium. I also saw progress that they didn't post at the GRB convention center for the Marathon Expo, though they still did po...
