Re: Good Summer Sausage?

Anyone know where or who has some really good summer sausage, I love it with crackers and cheese? I heard that Sprouts deli had some but not one close to me to see. No hot or spicy just good tasting. Thanks to all. There is a Sprout's in Rowlett. Not real close to Cash, but if your out and about......

Re: VA announces rollout and application process for new Veterans ID Card

Sorry to keep rehashing this thread, but I finally got through and uploaded all the stuff they asked for a couple of weeks ago. They said it was approved and would be processed and sent in about 4 to six weeks. I was just wondering if anyone got it done and if so, have you received your card yet or ...

Re: VA announces rollout and application process for new Veterans ID Card

Is there an advantage to having this card over having "VETERAN" printed on our license? I don't know for sure, but I have had issues with a few places like Home Depot refuse the DL or LTC w/ veteran saying they needed "something" from the military ie..DD214. I know it sounds sil...

Re: Do you ride a motorcycle, what kind and how do you carry

I had a Kawasaki Vulcan 750 for several years until I sold it due to divorce. This was about the same time I got my then CHL. I never did get to carry while riding my bike. (Didn't want to have off body in saddle bags or anything) Would like to get another bike, but age and health (also lack of mone...

Re: VA announces rollout and application process for new Veterans ID Card

I tried to apply but apparently, a la healthcare.gov, the application portion of the site has crashed due to volume. Allegedly I will receive an e-mail when the form is available again. Same here. Hopefully it'll be back up and online soon. This is a lot easier than using a DD214. Yep, same here. S...

Re: Cooler locks

This one? https://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/magellan-outdoors-ice-box-75#repChildCatid=3521001 I cut the plastic loop off the lid so I can lock a cable to it without locking it shut. Ran the cable around my ladder rack. I can still lock it closed by putting a lock on the other side. Curryman Not sur...

Just to add, whatever you get, I would suggest you make sure you can change out the chokes in case she wants to get into hunting. Most now days do, but some don't. :tiphat:

Re: Got my renewal approved!

Been checking the TX webpage every day since I applied for the renewal. Finally. Haven't gotten it yet, but at least it is only pending the printing and mail out. How long does it usually take for you to get yours from the moment you paid the $40? Did my renewal about a year ago, it took 2 weeks an...

Re: What would you reach for, handgun or shotgun?

For me, I have had a shotgun by my bed for the most part since I was 12 years old. I was the designated "chicken protector" from coyotes and bobcats growing up. I didn't become interested in handguns until I joined the Air Force. All this to say, I would probably grab my shotgun firs...

Re: Carry at work, but only if...

Hypothetically, I would do almost anything to be able to carry at work. Realistically, it's never going to happen here! :mad5 Almost 25 years down and a little over 5 years to go and I won't have to worry about it anymore. :clapping:

Re: OWB for colder weather

I was strictly IWC for the first several years I carried. When open carry went into effect, I started to always OWC, but still cover up. I just don't worry about it showing now. I have always said, whatever works best for you. :tiphat: Wouldn't that still be considered CC since it is covered up? Ye...
