Re: Tool box for an 11 year old.
When my kids were about that age I got them an "all in one" sort of thing from Craftsman. I figured it would at least be decent tools even if they wound up less than useful (little hammer). As they are now nearing end of high school I look at basic car and apartment needs and really, the a...

It is better to be thought of a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. - Abe Lincoln
I truly hope I've never said anything this foolish even when having a few too many beers in my youth.

Re: Mass: Senate Unanimously bans bump stocks
My experience after Las Vegas is of how ill informed the general public is about any aspect of a firearm. So, when bump fire stocks or other "bad gun product" is described or discussed it tends to quickly have the gun-ignorant public crying that "all guns are bad because people get ki...

Re: AR-15 trigger?
I have a JP Rifles single stage trigger on my AR that I'm told cost about $139. I bought the AR from a friend because of shooting it and loving the trigger.

Re: CNN Fails On Animation Of Bump Stock
Hard to imagine how a news organization or individual wants to be credible but continually is way off base with something that is easy to confirm and describe like a bump stock. Hmmm, maybe more concerned about the agenda than the truth????

Re: Wife to have rotator cuff surgery
I do this rehab for a job. First of all, good to hear you have a doctor you know and trust as that is most of it. I tell people shoulder surgery starts to feel better toward 3 months but time frames vary widely from little to no pain from the beginning to frustration into month 4 or 5. The doctor's ...

Re: Classy: University of Tampa Professor Says Texas Deserved a Hurricane Because The State Voted For Trump
Does the professor understand that the "instant karma" is primarily affecting heavily democratic areas? By his logic, Houston is being punished because most people voted for Hillary. I don't know much about the University of Tampa, but they must be desperate for professors if they are wil...

Re: Blindsided
All good info. The gas station I typically use now has "gas station TV," where you can turn to code white if you're dumb enough. Stand by my car filling up with gas watching some stupid mini TV screen on a gas pump? No way! It is enticing but I turn my back to it and tend to walk back and ...

Re: Reloading While Shooting Question
On my M&P I can use either slingshot or over the top. On my CZ P01 I have to use slingshot because the slide is low profile and rides on the inside of the frame rails and just doesn't give enough surface area (going over the top I tend to grab the frame). I used to use the slide stop but quit do...

Re: Boy Finds Gun In Dressing Room. His Mom’s Reaction Illustrates Why We Need More Gun Education
Wow! This is why I educated kids and my wife on safely handling firearms. When kids were little I had them watch a good video for kids about what do to if you found a gun (scene: playing hide-and-seek in a closet and finding a shotgun) and it basically told them not to touch them and to tell an adul...

Re: Harvey, GRB in Houston No Guns
I've been watching the Communist News Network and Fox as the water rescues are being accomplished by volunteers. Texans helping Texans. What I am seeing runs counter to the prog antifa narrative that ABCNBCBSCNN continually preaches. Yes. I think this country is far more unified in thought and deed...
