Re: Ammo can labels
Those do look decent. I use the blue painters tape and write on it with a black marker. The wide tape is big enough to add more details such as bullet type, sometimes adding an outline for defensive rnds vs target rnds. It sticks good and comes off easy. And I change the tape or add another piece of...

Re: CHL renewal rules
That's my recommendation, but the passage of HB48 changes things. Renewing before Sept. 1st means you have to take a class, while those renewing after Sept. 1st only have to apply with DPS online. Again, the grace period to renew after expiration will be gone as of Sept. 1st. Chas. "the grace ...

Re: AR Slings - Recommendations
I really like the VTAC (Viking Tactics) adjustable sling. I like it mostly because of the quick adjustment feature. At rest (standing/walking) I let the sling let out and my AR drapes to the side comfortably. You can quickly go to a shooting position and pull the sling tab to shorten it to your curr...

Re: Advice for starting an AR-10 build?
+1 what TAM said. This isn't a rifle you want to hang allot of accesories onto. I've got the 16" w/ plain OEM free float hand guard + magpul AFG & TLR1 light and it's no lightweight. I would add that the DPMS 16" barrel is more accurate for longer shots than you would expect for a carb...

Re: Advice for starting an AR-10 build?
Before you buy anything, I reccomend you poke around this site's forum 308ar.com I've found the best information there. The most important thing you must realize if you are going to do what you say is that uppers & lowers are not standardized as AR15's are. IOW, for the most part a DPMS lower do...

Re: Business response to gun control frenzy
CTD can count me out of future biz as well. I've been to a Dick's to see what they carry once and it wasn't much of what I was interested in. It looks like I have another reason not to go back. Good to know that the local oldie McBrides in Austin is booming in sales of evil black rifles. I rarely go...

I got mine also, and I can't wait to use it. Unfortunately I am having to wait until I have some rare free time. I think this will be great for my 308AR also in the camber and on BCG to keep things clean AND slick. How can you beat that!? Thanks Old Cannon for the product demo, hassle free FFL trans...
