Re: Just bought a new Springfield XDS - the BEST little gun

I looked at a 9mm XDS at the NRA show in Houston this spring and fell in love with that little gun. Went home and told my wife that was my next carry gun to which she agreed. So I started saving my pennies (and quarters and dollars  ) so that I could pay cash for one (we try to limit purchases...

Re: Woman does not bag her limit at Denny's in Houston

Glad that it turned out OK - but as I used to tell my teen-aged kids, "Nothing good ever happens after midnight". (I know, I know - thanks for the advice gramps! "rlol" )

Re: Carry Ammo

Hornady Critical Duty 135gr Federal HST 147gr I believe that just about any modern day hollow point will get the job done. :iagree: for me it pretty much boils down to penetration/over penetration and/or projectile expansion. After all, I can't think of any round that any sane person would say &quo...

Re: Carry Ammo

I'd want to see data for claims that a frangible ammo was as effective as JHP before I'd think about carrying it. Were they just statements or did the web sites you're referencing have data? (I'm not directing any of that at you, I'm just curious.) No data that I found, just statements by whomever ...

Re: Carry Ammo

Interesting that this subject came up today. A Facebook friend has a new business and just sent out an ad for Liberty 9mm +P 50 Grain HP. I had to ask him "50 grain? Is that a typo?" Did a little more research - this is a lead free frangible round. Muzzle velocity 2000 fps @ 444 ft lbs, wi...

Re: Pelosi: Congress Must Uphold Oath to ‘Protect and Defend

I am all for term limits, and I am beginning to think that there should be tests for dementia to exclude people from politics. She is a perfect example of why on BOTH counts.

Re: Why is Stand Your Ground being attacked?

If you want to see what happens when SYG and guns/gun rights are taken away, do a little Googleing on what has been happening in Canada and England. Criminals almost have more rights to enter your home and take your possessions than the homeowner has to protect them. If we (gun owners and lovers of ...

Re: News Story On Reloading

I've been hand loading for a couple of years. It wasn't hard to tell back in December last year that more people were getting into it and the people who were already hand loading were starting to stock up. And now to add to it - Husein has asked ammunition makers to start producing "green"...

And no, not the color green.

Re: Apparently retaliation has begun

CNN (et al) is gonna keep stirring this up till somebody gets killed. Then we'll get some action from the Feds, to restore order. I'm angry and tired. Mostly tired. I am afraid that this could easily grow into something that Husein would use to grab guns (at the least) or impose some sort of marsha...

I would like to see what some of you have written on your cards. I've never seen or heard of them. Would someone mind posting one or more please? Mine reads: As a Texas Concealed Handgun License holder, by law I: * Have no felony convictions * Have no Class A or B Misdemeanors * Have not been diagn...

Just so happens I saw this earlier today on Texas Gun Trader.
Not a "full size" cannon, but apparently it goes bang!

Re: Should Gun Owners Use Tactics of the Left?

JALLEN - I am in TOTAL agreement with you. I think that a business owners rights are HIS RIGHTS. This total bull of a radical minority group and the ACLU forcing a business owner to compromise his RIGHTS goes against everything that America used to stand for. I seriously doubt that I would actually ...

That is a little scary - I only live a couple of miles from there and go past that intersection at least twice a day. Another good reason to keep doors locked - and your concealed carry close.

Should Gun Owners Use Tactics of the Left?

Seems like this could set a precedent for (more like against) private business owners which I totally disagree with: http://www.reagancoalition.com/articles/2013/20130710005-co-baker.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; If I go to a business that posts 30.06 signage, I gener...
