Re: My first carry, also wally walk.
Big gun for first carry. Just wait til you see how easily a smaller gun carries. That mp will stay bedside Yup. M&P 9c is easy to conceal. Congratulations on your first public carry :tiphat: . Carrying will be a learning experience and you will probably wind up with a drawer full of holsters li...

Thank you sir.
Forgot to add, my pants size is around a 34. I'm wearing a 36 due to weight loss. I guess that is cheating

My first carry, also wally walk.
So I got my plastic in the mail today. Got extremely excited and decided to head to Walmart, I needed some random stuff anyways. Noticed a few things and may have learnt a lesson or two. Basically a M&P 9 with a Trl-1 HL in a Rcs holster. It was a HD gun, thus the light. Also, I have a bad offha...

Re: TX DPS CHL & social security numbers
You can apply with out a SSN but you have to mail it in. It takes around 2 weeks after they receive your packet to start processing.(estimated time cheque mailed in to cashed)
It takes a long time with the "mail in" route, but it works.

Did my finger prints on 30th Dec. Got form 85 and 86 signed at the nearest bank on 4th Jan, no hassle at all. Application fee and forms put in the mail on the same day. They were supposed to arrive tomorrow. But, surprise!!!!! Got an email today, from dps stating that "We have received the nece...

Re: CHL eligibility question
The other packet was asking for the non-refundable fees, however it not include the amount I need to pay. Did you submit your original paperwork without the application fee ? Or is this some kind of surcharge? :headscratch :banghead: "rlol" I think you nailed it. I was wondering how the p...

Re: CHL eligibility question
Just a little update, got 2 packets/letters in the mail today. One asking for "a non-refundable fee" and the other asking for more paperwork. The paperwork packet came with a copy of CHL85 and CHL86, I suppose I'm to head down to the county court to get this filled. In my case Harris count...

Re: CHL eligibility question
Attended the class and got my CHL-100. Now the application process begins. It seems that because I do have an SSN, I can not do the online application. Thus, mailing would be my only option. The packet would be sent to the following address with tracking. Texas Department of Public Safety P O Box 40...
