Re: DFW get together at Elm Fork 4/6/2013

It was a great pleasure re-meeting those from prior get togethers, and meeting those fortunate enough to attend for the first time. The chili was great, all the sausage was awesome (wife and father scarfed a bunch down as soon as I got home). Everyone was wonderful! :cheers2: :fire

I see my face every morning in the mirror. I wouldn't subject all you good people to a picture of it below the real thing....One is enough, two is too many...... :smash:

Re: DFW Get Together - Potluck Thread

I can bring a grill, wife, three guests, other assorted stuff. Has anyone checked with Elm Fork to make sure we are OK with a grill out there? My ammo situation is somewhat limited at the moment, but I'll bring what I have. I have plenty for the Mosin if anyone wants to try that bruiser out........ ...

Re: Kim Jong-Un Offers to take care of Austin for us

Graduated from Dear Old Brownwood High School. I'd say 50-50 at beating Stephenville on any given day, but that was a hundred years ago or so......in the Coach Gordon Wood days..... Edit to add: A little off topic, so I apologize. I hope he doesn't do anything to Austin. Everytime I go there I think...

Re: OH: Target of peeping tom shoots like a girl

I've got a full size upright freezer in the garage, which is visible from the street. Nice place to hang targets since the holes are quite visible with the white background. I spend a good bit of time in the garage (man cave) and neighbors frequently drop by to chat. Can be a very nice conversation ...

Re: Free CHL for Teachers in DFW

My wife has finally indicated an interest in getting her CHL, but I have to get her more comfortable with shooting first. She and I have discussed this, and have decided that it will be better for both of us if we make arrangements for someone else to teach her. Now I just have to find ammunition in...

Re: Tale about a notched grip Ruger SA

I'm not sure, but I think Ruger still offers a free upgrade kit to the old single six's to prevent/reduce firing when dropped. I believe they return the original parts after the fix, to maintain the originality of the weapon.
