Re: Sb1588 to eliminate most vehicle inspections
In the 1970's I was in the Army stationed in Northern Virginia. Virginia, at least at that time, had a requirement that insurance companies notify the state of all the persons they insured. If someone dropped their insurance, the state had to be notified. If someone dropped their insurance, the stat...

Re: IN: Brady Bums loose another lawsuit against gun seller
Sounds like the gun shop did nothing illegal or wrong, and should not be penalized. The "friend" who did the straw purchase? I can't think of any of my friends who would knowingly commit a crime for me, and I'm thankful for that. Friends help you move. Real friends help you move bodies. :...

Re: SB4-Sanctuary City ban
Are they are talking about excluding illegal aliens who serve or served in military or first responder positions? Wouldn't the illegal alien have to lie about their status to join or become a first responder? I think they talking because they like to hear their own voices. It's not necessary to be ...

Re: Men simply cannot do certain things!
Two siblings arrived while I was a teenager. I got to do it all. We used cloth diapers exclusively! Getting a soiled diaper into the diaper pail without becoming asphyxiated was sometimes challenging.

The description says it is.
Quoting from the Griffin Armament web site: "The Griffin Armament Paladin Brake is an affordable compact 2-Port Taper Mount muzzle device that is compatible with all of our taper mount silencers and accessories. "

Re: Suppressor build success
Okay, third time was the charm. I finally received a reply, and it was informative. The old Taper Mount Muzzle Brake is no longer available. It has been replaced by the Paladin 2 Port Brake. These are available. I have ordered one. I do wish I could have learned this earlier … but at least this issu...

Re: Suppressor build success
Other retailers sell Griffin brakes - try them. I can't find anyone who has them in stock. I'm looking for the Taper Mount Muzzle Brake with 5/8 X 24 threads for a .308 rifle. The minimalist brake is available some places, but that's not what I'm after. I have a saved Google search for — griffin mu...

Re: Suppressor build success
… I built this up specifically for my 300 BLK rifle, but figured I can also use it on my AR-10 — except that the Griffin Taper Mount Muzzle Brakes are suddenly made of unobtanium. Apparently Griffin is retooling, and the shelves are bare. Oh well, I still get to try it out and the AR-10 will just h...

Re: Ft Worth Enforcing Ammo Ban at Will Rogers
I'm doing business in leased space on government property. I ask you to leave the area I'm doing business in, be it a gun show, a restaurant, or a quilting bee, because you've violated a rule I established for entrance[1]. I'm not saying you have to leave the property, just the small part under my ...

Re: A few new reads
… I liked One Second After, a tale of how America turns to crap after an EMP attack. Not that I liked the the writing in the first one, but rather the premise and how workarounds were created to solve problems without power. Slightly off-topic — I had a somewhat elderly uncle (now deceased) who liv...

Re: Suppressor build success
Hmmmm. Are you using the challenge coin inside the can to keep it tight? Mine uses no coin (because I literally forgot about it during the build, dummy that I am) but I've had no issues keeping mine tight onto the Griffin device. I didn't use the challenge coin based on earlier comments. The suppre...

The Fun Continues …
Pro-tip - cut your blast-chamber about 1/8" longer than you measured, because the plugs will settle a little bit after the first 10 rounds or so. Yep yep yep! He's right. It may take 100 rounds, but it WILL settle in. You guys were correct! I've probably shot ~125 rounds through my suppressor ...
