Re: Liberty County Building - Posted
I'm still waiting for an LTC'er to do something illegal in the capital... If we don't break the laws there, I doubt we will break them anywhere. If you are going to assassinate a witness for a relative or the prosecutor (or really anybody), it is just as easy to wait outside. It is simply security ...

Beto going back to his NY sugar daddies for more money. http://www.cnbc.com/2018/09/12/beto-orourke-hosts-new-york-fundraiser-as-race-for-cruz-seat-tightens.html Man, it seems like there should be some rule against that... we have enough cooks in Tx, we don't need ny influence as well. just another...

Re: Civet Coffee
I love good coffee and would definitely give this stuff a try if it were offered to me. That said, I get my fresh roasted, single origin coffee beans from El Lago Coffee Company for $10/lb. They may not have the variety or quality control of the other roasters out there. But they have what I need an...

Re: Hold over/under question
Of course it depends on what distance your sight is zeroed at, but shooting downhill you will tend to hit high . I think your author got their words twisted a bit, but you would have to aim a bit low when shooting downhill. 9 inches sounds a bit much at 350 yds, but it depends on the round and wher...

Re: Hold over/under question
I could be wrong, but it sounds like the writer probably doesn't have much of a background in math or shooting. As far as the slope is concerned that equates to about 1 ft of elevation drop per 13 ft of horizonatal distance which is not insignificant, but is a mild sloping hillside. The bullet drop ...

Re: Thoughts on open carry
I am uncomfortable with the thought of the attention that OC might bring me. That said, I have "experimented" with OC in my car on the way home from work because it's much easier to slip an appendix holster on and off in the car and have ready and available access to my firearm than to hav...

Re: Poll: Native or Transplant?
I migrated from north of the border days after I finished college. I actually was born in Oklahoma but my whole life resided on the Kansas side of state line road. In November 2006 I accepted a job offer to begin my career in Texas, and upon graduating in May 2007 I found a new home in Texas about a...

I probably will set up a hanging soda can inside a cardboard box stuffed with hay or something to catch the bbs.

Re: Person hit by gunshot at Red's Indoor Range in Pflugerville has died
Suicides at gun ranges are a real thing, and something that range owners must be aware of and prepared for. Reasoning (if you can call it that) ranges from easy and inexpensive access to a firearm , and it leaves the mess to strangers to clean up rather than loved ones. A few years ago there was ac...

My first BB gun purchase
My son started Kindergarten last week. He's crossing multiple milestones now. For example, On Sunday he asked me to take the training wheels off of his bicycle. So I did and he learned to ride it. I also took the child safety lock off of the door on his side of the car so that he can get him self ou...

Re: Person hit by gunshot at Red's Indoor Range in Pflugerville has died
Was this a suicide or a lack of knowledge of safety and/or the operation of the gun? Hard to imagine someone would go to a gun range to commit suicide. My guess is this was either a gun that was assumed to be unloaded without checking the chamber, or a person responding badly to a jam or failure. T...

Re: Oklahoma House passes "Constitutional Carry" bill
I'm curious how reciprocity works for people from a state with constitutional carry. reciprocity continues to work the same way that it already does. For example in Kansas (a constitutional carry state), they continue to issue CCW permits for people who want to have reciprocity with other states. I...

Re: Company Truck Carry
I've also been told verbally, because I fought for them to change the policy in a meeting. They said they agree with me but their insurance company won't allow it, or will charge too much of a premium or something. I think they are worried about the liability if we leave the gun in the truck when w...
