Re: Pearland shooting club

Mr Cotton had said he would sponsor us for PSC, but he hasn't gotten back with me, he's maybe busy with the special session. Anyway, is there anyone else who can? is it too late? What are our options? I'm sure he'll get back to you. You may need to PM him. Out of curiosity did you attend a meet-up ...

Re: 2021 - back to Georgetown?

As Vol Texan noted, we had a small group in 2019, but it was fun. We started with Mexican food at Marino's in Friendswood, then we shout the LTC course. I'll be happy to host anyone who wants to do their Instructor LTC qualification at PSC. I suggest we get it done soon rather than wait until after ...

Re: Allen West resigns as chair of Texas Republican Party

I'm not set for or against West. I'm already seeing some things come out about West that have me concerned about him. Not even the story from 20 years ago, I'm not worried about something that happened "over there" when he was dealing with a terrorist....heck, I'm not sure what I would do...

Re: Allen West resigns as chair of Texas Republican Party

That's just one article, so look for more if you want to confirm the facts. Note that the article is quoting heavily from testimony given by West and his men during the Article 15 hearing. It's not just NYT propaganda. West violated the UCMJ pure and simple. The amount of intelligence, or lack ther...

Re: Allen West resigns as chair of Texas Republican Party

There's much that will come out about Allen West as the campaign heats up. There's a hell of a lot more voters need to know about West than just his blatant disregard of the law. The paragraphs below were taken from a 2004 New York Times article. In August, Colonel West learned from an intelligence...

Re: LEOSA range qualification

Now I'm confused. It is my understanding that a retired Texas peace officer must 1) get retired credentials from his last agency; and 2) shoot an annual qualification course with a police agency, not an LTC instructor. Am I mistaken?

Re: hey everyone!

Welcome back and welcome to Alvin. Quite little town, have lived here for almost 30 years. We finally got a Chick Fil A so we are not uptown. PSC is only a few minutes away, need to get on the membership list there as soon as possible. Until you do, you can always shoot with the Women's Shooting Pr...

Re: TX: Road-raging gun-toting motorcyclist shot by SUV driver

According to reports, he wasn't just weaving in and out of traffic, he was also lane splitting which is highly illegal in Texas. Yes and no. There is no law which specifically mentions lane splitting in Texas. The only law that comes close states that a vehicle must stay in it's own lane. Technical...

Re: ATF Released New Proposed Pistol Brace Rules

When responding to the proposed rule, DO NOT use anyone's proposed response. The BATFE must respond to every different point raised, but not every comment. A thousand identical comments, or substantially the same point, requires only one response. A thousand different points require a thousand forma...

Re: Allen West resigns as chair of Texas Republican Party

Maybe he would run against John Cornyn I stood 2 feet from him (he was speaking at a group event to which I belong) and asked him to do just that. It was before Cornyn was relected. In retrospect, he probably didn't have enough time to ramp up a campaign to overcome Cornyn's incumbent power but I r...
