Re: Let’s talk .22 pistols

Well you said you wanted a semi, and I've got a couple. But my favorite .22 handgun is my Ruger Single Six. And I use it more often with magnum ammo than .22Lr. It comes with interchangeable cylinders so you get two revolvers in one.

Re: Pasture Gun?

A long gun will always be better than a handgun but they are not always practical to carry. I’ve been around feral hogs quite a bit and have never been charged, normally they will leave the area when they smell humans, especially where they have been hunted before. I have shot one with a 10mm and i...

Re: Washington Redskins to change name

I don't care what they do...all "professional" sports no longer care about their fans. All of them are virtue signalling political entities who believe that alienating their fans will make them richer. NFL, MLB, NBA, NASCAR....all dead to me. If you can't entertain me, which by the way is...

So the Library Board wants security, or they would not have hired you. But they don't want security if they want to disarm you. They can't have it both ways.

Re: Do you remember your very first time carrying after receiving your plastic?

So what about you, what was your first time carrying after getting your plastic like? I don't remember where I carried first. But I do remember worrying about what to say to a DPS officer if I got stopped. I had heard differing opinions on what to say/ not say. But my first experience with them I j...

Re: Lost 100% hearing in one ear....

FYI, I highly recommend Dr. Bob Peters at Dallas Ear Institute. I have a rare degenerative ear disease and he is the only doctor that has been able to help me. I too am deaf in one ear. It's a handicap, but life goes on pretty well with just one ear.

Re: Reccomendations for finding WWII 1911

I've had the distinct pleasure of shooting a Colt 1911 with Navy stamped on it that by the serial number was made in 1911. The man that owns it would never sell it (again). He sold it once, and then bought it back. It still shoots great. I have no idea what such a weapon would sell for.

I wonder what he was hopped up on. Drug induced crazes are tough to deal with, if you don't have a gun.

This isn't nearly as bad as the swine flu back in 2009, and there was no panic then. The crazed mania has got to stop.

Re: Corona Virus (COVID-19) from China: Its going to be bad.

No disrespect to anyone, but the hype about Covid-19 is way over blown IMHO. The Flu kills thousands each year. This panic, and it is a panic, has been seized upon by the media as a way to bring down the economy and hurt President Trump's chances for reelection. In the process, I have lost a years w...

That's going to be tough, but I am working on it. Enough baby steps can sometimes lead to the goal.

Patience Paid Off

I won't go resurrect my post from a few years back, but this post will share new details of my ongoing effort with the owners of my company to change their mind about carrying while at work. You may remember that I was able to get our employee policy rewritten to allow CC with written authorization ...
