Re: El Paso Walmart Shooting

this is truly horrifying....how are kids so evil these days? In my opinion it is a combination of factors. Raised by violent video games and day care. Social media creating a lack of empathy. These kids refer to texting as talking! They all live on social media and begin to see it as real life. Vio...

Re: El Paso Walmart Shooting

Reports are saying "gang-related terrorism". Perhaps cartel-related? Literally just saw a story about cartels in Juarez showing off military grade arms and armor in a hostage video (machine guns, .50 cal rifle, vests and helmets, etc). Doubt it's related, personally. Especially with this ...

Re: Speaker Bonnen's betrayal of Texas gun-owners

This just appeared on my radar. If there is any truth to it, it will add another layer to this betrayal. https://www.texastribune.org/2019/07/31/texas-house-speaker-dennis-bonnens-backroom-offer-allegedly-tape/ “I was shocked”: Two GOP lawmakers describe recording of House Speaker Dennis Bonnen The ...

Re: Do you have anything on you or in your truck?

I also forgot to mention that I was stopped just a few weeks ago for an illegal passing (I didn't but that's another story). I was carrying and did not show my LTC with my DL. I got a warning, the LEO never mentioned my LTC and never asked about a gun. Surely he ran my DL and would have e seen I ha...

Re: NM: Walmart to stop selling guns in New Mexico

Here is a little more clarification. Apparently the new law will require stores that do firearms background checks to do them for private party sales between two individuals. So, Walmart doesn't want folks walking in with guns and doing the transfer in their store. https://thehill.com/homenews/stat...

Re: NM: Walmart to stop selling guns in New Mexico

I'm confused. Did Wal-Mart not already have to perform background checks on gun buyers? Or is it talking about something more in-depth than the standard NICS check? Also, why would they suddenly see "individuals walking through the store potentially carrying multiple firearms" after this n...

Re: Irresponsible dog owner

I'm so happy for you that the dangerous dog has been taken care of! I agree with Jusme on every count. Get security cameras if you can afford to (some sets are easy to install and only a couple hundred bucks). Either way, take pictures of anything that irks you or looks suspicious. Even if it isn't ...

Re: Watch Where You Walk

Question, does the 10 acre rule apply when you're trying to kill a venomous snake? To my knowledge, if you must shoot the snake in defense of your life or someone else's (the snake blocks your path, your phone is dead, can't get away from it, etc) then the doctrine of necessity would provide a defe...

I agree with TAM - this is going to get locked. While many of us (I would argue most of us) on here agree with you Gator, this appears to violate forum rules.
