Re: What Did You Do In The Reloading Room This Week?

I vacuumed the floor underneath the bench. I then counted supplies (primers vs brass vs bullets vs powder stashes). All is well for the summer. I decided to start stocking up for "election time" though.

Re: New IDPA Rules

Interesting read--

I let my SO certification drop after 9+ years.

I was a bit fed up with the rules changes but kept up. I finally gave in and let it drop this Fall.

Its a shame to see that experience of many be tossed to the side by IDPA HQ's decisions.

Woodworker Needed

I have an elderly wooden bed that need two new side rails built. They have a bit of an odd fastener on the ends of the rails that fit into the head/foot boards. I can email a pic of the fasteners.

Anyone in the Houston area-- preferably someone who's a home hobbist ?

Re: University of Texas (UT) Campus Carry page

Discussions underway in relation to formulating a UT System-level and/or campus level policies which would identify employees and possibly students as CHL holders. The information may be available to administration and PD.

Unacceptable, IMO.

Re: Driving to upstate New York

Hey Everyone, I am planning on driving to drive from Texas up to upstate New York to visit family over Christmas and would like to bring my weapons with me. Of course New York refuses to honor any other state's CHL so I'm not able to carry in New York state. Does anyone have any suggestions as to h...

Charles, Is it possible for us mobilers to have an option to view the desktop site? I know the mobile version is convenient for most people but I always seek out the desktop version when available on mobile sites. Thanks! Sorry, but I don't know what you are asking. I believe this is a responsive t...

How To Address a Game Warden?

Thought this would be a good place to ask --

How does one address a Game Warden ? For example, one could address a DPS member as Trooper Smith, or a member of a SO as Deputy Smith.

Re: Ft. Worth Incident

Rule # 2 Never point the gun at anything you are not willing to destroy You initiated the firearm situation by drawing your weapon, directing it at the male, and demanded that he follow your (civilian) instructions. Your action changed the entire situation, escalating it into a deadly force situatio...

Re: Is there IDPA near Texas city

While it's a fine shooting facility, the owners decided no more IDPA at The Arms Room. The Team Trainwreck group found a new home at Big Kountry in Alvin. They shoot both IDPA and PASS in an alternating schedule on Monday and Thursday evenings. http://teamtrainwreck.idpaclub.org/" onclick="...

Re: Jury duty today- Texas CHL Forum blocked

The Websence message indicated that the CO purchased and subscribes to that software. Its generally a local server that acts similar to a proxy. The Websence service categorizes web sites. The local administration decides what categories get blocked. Its been a few years since I've run one, but I re...

Re: Pistol practice in the country

I believe there is a part of the regulations related to this topic that the bullets cannot cross property lines. We own 25 acres in a county so that meets the 10 acre part. But , even though there are a few hundred acres of another's wooded, empty property on two sides, I cannot just "shoot int...

I've seen floating docks that use similar rollers. Perhaps a marine dock company like Henderson Marine online or someplace out your way ?

Re: 1-900-TAC-TALK

This is funny-- Can just hear it now- Hi there Operator-- My-- you've got a nice pair of 5.11's on. Tell me all about your holster.... I hear the Dean and Rodge show on the Houston radio-- they do a gag where they call one of "those" 900 lines and use clips from celebrity's voice to carry ...

Re: Interesting modum/router issue

This is sort of related to the original post-- We've got Comcast for Internet. I had a heck of time with their modems- replaced it several times. I bought my own Motorola model and *poof* troubles went away . Perhaps the suggestion of buying one's own may be the answer. That is, if AT&T's servic...
