Re: I need help please

Try Vedder Holster's Light Tuck IWB. They're great.

Re: Instructors that wear Body Armour

For the past few weeks, I have been taking my best female friend to learn how to shoot her new LadySmith .38 J-Frame at my favorite indoor range. I only go there on days when the range is nearly empty. One time, I overheard an employee tell the manager to "watch the guy with the .45 on lane 6. ...

Re: Licensed carry at my apartment complex

I am the original creator of this post. Good news yesterday. The owners of my apartment complex have removed the 30.06 and 30.07 signs from the community room/leasing office building, and also have declared the 30.06/30.07 addendum on my lease null and void. It appears the Illinois owners who purcha...

Re: Trump health chief supports CDC research on gun violence

The main thing we should be looking at is the prevalence of prescribing antidepressants for ADHD and other mental disorders to people aged 18-24 years old. These drugs should not be prescribed for this age group. How about "time outs" or a good old-fashioned spanking for bullies at school?...

Re: Licensed carry at my apartment complex

I appreciate all the helpful comments about my situation. Yes, I also use my bank's bill pay, and paying my rent is the only paper check I write each month. Most of my friends have avoided the new ACH option through the landlord's web site, because they don't know anything about online transactions....

Re: Licensed carry at my apartment complex

I can think of some options. Maybe one of these might work? 1. Pay your rent a week early (either using the drop box or mail). Then call and confirm that they have received payment a few days before it is due. 2. Get yourself a Sub-2000 or similar and carry that in a bag while you are in the office...

Licensed carry at my apartment complex

I live in a 55+ apartment community, where the community room and leasing office are in the same building. Apartments are all ground level triplexes or quadplexes. Two years ago, the complex was sold, the 30.06 and 30.07 signs went up at the front and back doors of the community room/leasing office,...

Re: Concealed loaded mags and 30.06 signs

I suppose as a compromise one could remove the magazine leaving only 1 round available to anyone else. Not ideal but better than furnishing 6-15 more with the magazine. And if one has a pistol with a working magazine disconnect then the chambered round is useless anyway. Another thought provoker to...

Re: Concealed loaded mags and 30.06 signs

I take all mags ( including the one from inside the pistol and the round from the chamber) with me. I don't want someone who may have broken into my truck and stolen my pistol to have a mag or any ammo to harm anyone( myself included). You've made me think about something that never occurred to me....

Concealed loaded mags and 30.06 signs

I think I'm okay and legal in this situation, but I would like to hear personal experiences, too. When I go inside a hospital or other business that's posted with 30.06 signs, I just leave my gun in the car, but don't remove my empty holster from the belt, nor do I remove my mag pouches on my belt o...

Re: Bottom Handguns!

I had a Taurus 850 CIA All Titanium .38 revolver I carried for 13 years. It had the smoothest DAO trigger, better than any S&W snub nose I've ever owned, and was very accurate. I fed it nothing but Gold Dots and when I sold it, I got as much as I paid for it. They are now impossible to find. I w...

Re: Unlicensed Carry on Private Property

I like the fact that Collin Street Bakery at Hideaway on Hwy 849 near Lindale has a sign at the front entrance encouraging licensed concealed carry on their premises.

Re: Liability of business owners who ban licensed handguns

From taa.org (Texas Apartment Association) list of 2017 legislative victories: "Gun liability Several bills were filed this session that could have shifted liability on a property owner depending on whether concealed carry and/or open carry was allowed on the premises. TAA expressed concerns ab...

Liability of business owners who ban licensed handguns

I live in a gated community that only closes its gates between 9:00pm-5:00am. We have a community room/leasing office that has 30.06/30.07 signage at both building entrances. The signs were installed and our leases added an addendum when the complex changed owners in January, 2016. A couple of month...
