Re: Belt Holster vs Paddle Holster
What mystifies me the most is how anyone can actually carry a handgun on their waist without a belt. WITH DUE RESPECT TO ALL.......... Some of us are 'leaner' than others. Some of us wear warm ups and/or shorts, or the like. Hard to wear a belt sometimes with what you wear. A good paddle holster is...

Re: CHL Instructor 30.06/07 Signage
They told me they would provide it online. Which obviously they haven't. I work in this area and recently inquired for legal reasons. I guess we'll have to wait and see as time goes along. As we Texan's all know, one slip of a word/letter in Spanish can take on a whole other meaning.

Gonna work up a 6.8 SAAMI spec case for headspace purposes.......Tape on the back of the head does wonders for Go/No-Go.

Re: Belt Holster vs Paddle Holster
Someone commented about snatching your paddle holster off when not worn with a belt...........I have Safariland ALS paddles and they have a 'catch' whereby should someone pull up on your holster, it snags your pants and will not come off. I too hope I can wear without a belt, should I elect to open ...

Re: CHL Instructor 30.06/07 Signage
I have had contact with them regarding this exact thing. They said they would be providing it before Jan. 1. Will they? Who knows. But a sign with 'exact verbiage' should not be 'translated' by anyone except the oversight agency.

I'd make DPS give the the exact verbiage. English and Spanish.

Re: Executive Action Likely On Gun Control In ‘Weeks
His continued fails leads him much closer to a 'have to' impeachment. I think even he is smarter than that. We are all vigilant, and should be. But could you ever imagine someone knocking on your door to 'pick up your guns'. Ain't gonna happen. They can make it hard on us, like they have in the past...

Thanks. I am aware of the statutes on the legislative sight. With this big of change you would think a new guide would be warranted.

2015 - New LTC laws - Availability
Does anyone know when DPS will publish new guidelines for LTC? Been watching but haven't seen anything yet. I assume they'll publish a PDF guide like the previous Concealed Hangun LIcense one. Just wondering..........

Re: Who is going to open carry?
I'm all for it for most all reasons previously stated. I feel my OC will be limited to maybe trips from the ranch to town for ice, etc. when I'm already wearing my pistol belt. Mostly in the evening time. I will continue to CC. My only concern is the OC folks with the horizontal shoulder rigs, Miami...
