IDPA in North Central Texas

#1

Post by 40FIVER »

I'm wanting to give IDPA a try. :fire I haven't seen it in person, or done it, and I can't find anything remotely local to my area. I live about 20 miles south of Wichita Falls, and it looks like the DFW area may be the closest. And of course, everything I find in DFW is on the south or east side.

Does anybody know of anything closer? Any personal info on the gun clubs in the DFW area would be helpful too.

Thanks - 40FIVER

I think Jacob's Plain where Collin Co. IDPA now calls home may be the closest to you. Cross Timbers IDPA and Dallas Action Pistol Shooters are the two clubs I shoot with. We get a lot of Collin Co folks at both club matches. A great bunch will be greeting you wherever you go.
I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961
